They had already turned on him o, na God save am grin

They will still turn on him. Is it not this thread again? Is it not football?

I don't even have an issue with ETH. He should do whatever he thinks is necessary to get results. It's his job on the line.

In the same vein, Ronaldo is free to do whatever he thinks is necessary to get playing time. If VdB can cause this much havoc to get playing time somewhere else, he'd have done it already. And I will support him.

Players with finite stay at the top get more understanding from me than a club that will be here in 50 years time after the player is dead. You'll then waste someone's time because you want to prove your authority. Your wife and children no do you.

He realized he dropped an L take I guess

Nah, he probably didn't expect a Madrid fan to come here and expose his disingenuousness and didn't expect you to fact check his nonsense which explains why he boldly said you should Google it. most posters wouldn't bother and would just take his word for it but you didn't so he's left in an unenviable position of doubling down on nonsense rather than admit his trick didn't work

A circle-jerk will not eliminate the fact that Zidane benched Ronaldo. It happened. We all saw the team sheets. No Ronaldo in the starting 11 while he was fit.

Call it whatever synonym or coat it with Bonalux paint, bottom line is Zidane sat his ass on the bench, in the team bus, on the stands. Wherever but the pitch. Lamba with sense!

They don't want a viable solution.

They are just trying frantically to find ways to act like little tyrants and blow smoke up their own a$$es.

All these we'll send him to the reserves. He'll never wear the red shirt again. We'll fine him. We'll delete all his goals. All of it is just punitive actions because he didn't allow himself to be used a teaching aid by ETH. If not, what is $15m for Manchester United to put an end to this rapidly deteriorating situation?

You don't want him. You don't want to play him. You don't mind paying him not to even be on the team sheet until he leaves for free. But he should be the one to buy out his contract at 38. Is that not witchcraft?

-Lord
For some reason, paying him 500k till when his contract and removing him from the first team sounds tantalizing to some people. All for what?

You can ask him that. But assuming he said so because he didn't have the attention in the final is just too wild. It should be categorized as hate speech.

So, why didn't he leave when Bale scored that lone goal against Barcelona in Copa final?

You can keep saying this or you can go out and touch the grass because Ronaldo leaving Madrid is something that was so much documented.

I mean, guy scored a penalty to take a game to 4-1 against 10 and half man Atletico in same year, 2014, then proceeded to pull off his shirt and run to the sideline celebrating like he just scored a winning dying minute goal in a very tight game the flex his muscles so press can use his pics for UCL papers lol. this is amongst other things he did when he was with us. guy likes limelight and I don't need to ask him. it's his usual behaviour and I'm glad Flo threw him out when he started becoming too useless to overlook the extra baggage his behaviour brings

Cristiano just embarrassing himself. Its the end of the road for him now at the club. Absolutely no need for the petulance.
I don't think Ronaldo cares anymore, his salary will still be paid. The club should have terminated his contract in the summer, when it became obvious he didn't want to stay. He also didn't buy out his contract and leave for reason best known to him. Now we hear he is vital asset that the club could not let go for free grin grin...

I’m not even contesting the coach reaction to this.

What’s a viable solution for both parties?
Ronaldo should either buy out his contract or stop throwing tantrum like a drama queen. He must respect the coach and earn his way back into the team. He's no longer the Ronaldo that won balón d'or some years back.

Honestly, I don't know what to make of this.

You can just say you don't like him in plain terms rather than going through the corners.

The 25% applies to everyone. Fine him or not. It'll be insignificant compared to his annual salary.

As I said, the faux disciplinary issue is noise. Dude has earned $1b over his entire career, and you think a fine will faze him. Last, last they'll be forced to let him go. The question is when. $15m or so is not Manchester United's problem.

-Lord
You're very funny saying the discipline is noise. The club is clearly passing a message that no player power will be tolerated. The manager is firmly in charge.

About the salary, the club can absolutely afford that and it won't faze them one bit as well. Na Ronaldo with him BIG ego go suffer am for reserves.

he started talking about leaving the very day we won against Liverpool. guy was probably sad he had a pathetic final for us and all the limelight was on Bale so he used that as an opportunity to bring the limelight back to him. imagine saying you're leaving as your team is celebrating
I just laugh at people talking about loyalty here as if Ronaldo himself has ever been a beacon of loyalty in his career.

The ego trip.

Unfortunately for them, the man no send them. He's made peace with the fact that his days of regularly playing in the red shirt are over. He's placed his head willingly and consciously in the guillotine. Whenever they're tired, they'll release the blade.

So you think the club will just be paying him for his misbehavior and there won't be financial consequences lol. So any player can misbehave and it doesn't matter as long as he's receiving his full salary.

But he decides to be loyal to these bums. Messi kept dozens of consecutive clean sheets but he didn’t get these kind of treatment from PSG.

Ronaldo fvcked up for joining United over City, he has also fvcked up plenty this season too. The club can either terminate his contract or they continue to pay him free £500k per week till his contract run out. I think it's a win win for Ronaldo at this point, cos play or not he will still make Portugal World Cup Squad...

It is noise because he doesn't care anymore.

I'm sure he'll suffer terribly cashing his 400K checks and leaving for free in the summer. At least on the reserves, he wouldn't have to stay on the bench, then leave in the 89' minute. Dude will watch work from home.

Ten Hag needed a striker.
No team was going to pay money for Ronaldo. They wanted him for free.
To buy a striker, we needed fees from Ronaldo's transfer plus saved wages.
In conclusion, we had to settle with him staying.
So what the fvck are you going on about?

He doesn't care anymore yet he's the one causing drama everywhere and he even turned up for training today, he should have stayed at home then.

In case you forgot, he clearly refused to play yesterday and that's a serious breach of contract. The club will take appropriate measures both financially and otherwise.

500k per week is not a big deal, we can pay it for 5 years self. As long as he's under our contract he must respect the manager, his teammates, and fans.

grin grin grin

He does not want to. It's not by force.

All these shenanigans are to avoid liability, so the club does not take him to court for breach of contract if he comes out to say he doesn't want to play for ETH anymore. Now, the club is forced to stop him from playing themselves in the name of disciplinary action, while he waits to leave on a free transfer, all while cashing out his last big checks in Europe.

Bonus point, no injury until the World Cup.

Why would he not turn up for training? He has to protect his salary. Ego is very important.

They can sue him if they want, I'm not sure what part of he doesn't give a sh*t anymore is hard to understand.

Read between the lines bro, Ronaldo no send United again. Best option now is to terminate his contract like Assnal did with Aubameyang, if not he will be cashing out weekly and still go to world cup with Portugal...

His egotistical ass in the reserves then. One way or another he must keep showing up for work to train with the u18s while his ass is being fined.

If he sure for am make he no find club for January, we go see who go tire.

There is an expiry date to all this. Summer next year. He will not be the first or last player or employee for that matter to do the bare minimum to see out a contract.
