Let go as in how? United should have just terminated his contract like that because he's Ronaldo

YES.

Don't punch yourself, then start crying.

Everyone who has followed European football for more than one season knew keeping Ronaldo when he wouldn't be a starter was a bad idea. EVERYONE knew. The man clearly wanted to leave. But the club and fans wanted a kick out of keeping him as a backup option. Well, this is the result.

Terminate his contract and let him leave. To him, being a starter for Marseille or Napoli beats warming up at 80 minutes to be substituted at Old Trafford for a winger posing as a striker. Whether you think that is reasonable is immaterial.

He is not Van de Beek.

I really hope he is frozen out of the squad. World Cup is next month. Then January he leaves.

Dude does not want to spend the twilight of his career on a bench. I don't know how else he has to show that before you guys get a hint. One-third of the season is almost gone and he has only scored one league goal. Yet you want him to be clapping and cheering like a seal in the stands when just six months ago he was banging goals. And he isn't getting play time when his last World Cup is literally two weeks out.

Play Europa League. Okay.
You're my third choice striker after Martial and Rashford. Okay.
We will not extend your contract. Okay.
I'll mostly use you as a substitute. Okay.
You'll have to run more. Okay.

Now, substitute na. Problem. Allow him to finish a rare start against Newcastle. Problem. Ease him into the team. Problem. Later when the team starts playing badly, you'll force him in and start expecting miracles. Dude is saying he's had enough. If you've had enough as well, let him go. Shikena! Life goes on.

He made the issue ambiguous for himself, it wasn't a serious issue on the coach side and most players like messi or mane won't walk away, they will jejely go and sit down or cheer the team on from touch line. Messi understand he is big already and don't need anything to prove, that's where maturity comes in. Cr7 always think he has catch up to do vs messi hence his behaviour grin. I surprise say himsister never still come out to rant like his last game for portugal. cheesy
Your messi, how can you do this to a coach. If I be pochettino. I go give him 10 matches ban. See Messi face na after ignoring pochettino. grin grin. Messi na slow poison.

So because some clubs let go of some players deemed surplus to requirement now means United should let a player like Ronaldo who's on contract and vital asset go on a free?

If Ronaldo was that serious to leave why didn't he buy out his contract like some other players have done in the past?
Lmao looks like a disrupted dressing room is a much better option. Make sense.

Ronaldo don suddenly become vital asset

Ronaldo left the field angrily because he wasn’t subbed on after he was told to warm up?

The ego on that guy. grin

He failed to show up for preseason.
Desperately sought to leave at the last minute of the TW
Can’t follow through with the system the coach wants to play

Yet, he the club is the one disrespecting him.

Bro, if you achieve what he has achieved, you’ll portray the same behavior. Forget all this “disrespect disrespect” talk.

It’s that behavior that has him playing top-level football in the English Premier League as an attacker at age 38.

Even Messi portrays the same behavior but on code unlike Ronaldo that’s open about it.

When people talk about how he’s the first to come to training and last to leave bla bla, this behavior is just the other extreme end.

Every star obsessed with being the best portrays it.

This type of behavior should not go unpunished. Else, other players will start misbehaving.

Don’t be surprised if EtH leaves CR7 out of the Chelsea squad.

Players can only do shakara for you if you don’t know what you’re doing. Pep, Klop (and now Arteta) are known for their discipline. I don’t know why EtH must accept nonsense from any player.

Misbehaving as per they have two Ballon D’Ors to their name or what?

None of the players on that pitch will achieve what Ronaldo has achieved (and this is based on the average player’s football career trajectory). Stop putting them in the same category.

You’re approaching this as if they’re all SS3 students on the same level.

Only an egotistical and selfish star will not come to terms with reality

You cannot hold the ball in the opposition half. You cannot join meaningfully in the coordinated pressing system. You cannot even score 80% of the type of goals you used to score.

And you want to play the full 90 minutes of all matches of a top team in a top league?

Nah. Things don’t work like that.

You have to realize when your time is up.

Either go to a team that won’t mind playing you every time despite your reduced value… or manage your inflated ego and be a good squad option.

Success doesn’t care about your past glory.

Don’t be deceived. Humans are social beings.

If Ronaldo can misbehave and go unpunished. Others can do the same.

When Rooney’s energy level dropped and he stopped pressing, Rashford and the others mimicked him and stopped pressing too.

Your guy don fall your hand. He was even asked to come on and refused to.

Forget long shalaye, United will never terminate his contract just like that. We bought him for a fee, he's a vital part of the club's asset. No reasonable business enterprise that is well run will reason like that.

He's under contract ffs, if he so wants to leave let him buy out his contract, it's that simple. United owns him, he doesn't own United.

Last I checked the dressing room is doing fine and they're not missing him. He's the one doing himself not the club or the team.

The club is passing a clear message, enough of rubbish abeg.
