Instead of passing to an open player, Edafe prefers to try to dribble out of a tight spot angry
Man, we have a long way to go in instilling basic footie intelligence in most of our players
The field intelligence part taya me. Our girls looked like they simply dd not know what to do. Sometimes fighting over the ball rather than one pulling off

USA are better than us so the coach did well for me
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 3:53pm On Oct 21, 2022
We had a much better second half. The girls were a lot more composed compared to the first half, they also did more defensively.

Ajakaye was useless in this game, not sure if was tiredness or something not else, but she had a below average game today.

Glad the coach spotted Adeshina early, she was a minus to the team.

Our midfield is still absent, we didn't create chances today, and this will happen against any good team.

Wish the girls the best this penalty shootout

I am confused, you mean their players or their bench?

Yesss!
Congrats to the young ladies.
Even though this was a smash and grab, fortitude, drive and the will to never give up got us through.

From now on, we have an easy ride till the final. This is the biggest opponent any team can face, and we survived it through.

Nice nice, I haven't seen the Colombians play, I believe we can have it easy with Tanzania, generally we need a team that doesn't have better midfield against ours and we take our chances, if not we can just defend and see how far our luck takes us.

The coach did his home work the usa are much better on the ball and also pass better it will be useless dragging the midfield with them

Yessss!!! We did it!!!!

This might be an ugly win but I will take it.
Na that number 6 wan spoil show for us.

And what a brave mentality by Usani to score her penalty again.

Kudos to Ujiaku...she came in late and did most of the job.

Colombia or Tanzania next.

I was glad the ref didn't penalize her... maybe if she had caught it the ref would have asked for it to be re-taken..

Yeah luck smiled on us which you need in life anyways to succeed. The girls gave their all and while the US dominated there were not too many shots on target for the US. The only room never full is, the room for improvement, I think
1) coach may need to shore up the midfield more in games where we are being overly dominated.
2) making just 1 unforced sub at this stage of the tournament may be putting too much pressure on the ones playing. Fresh legs will always help especially when we chased the ball a lot. The girls really have lungs of steel most of them playing out the game.
Anyways laslas the end usually justifies the means, we have won and that's what counts the most!! Congrats to 9ja!!!!
