And bagged 2 red cards to crown their exit.

They had 4 red cards at this WC. Born Karate girls. grin

There have been 5 Reds given at this WC and Tanzania has 4 of them. Na wa.

The have a young and inexperienced team, but if serious Tanzania can build from this.

FIFA u-17 semi final

Nigeria Vs Colombia

Tanzania lost to Colombia 3-0

It’s going to be a tough game, no doubt.

BTW, I am seeing some coincidences in this Flamingos tournament and the Falconets campaign at the 2010 U-20 WC:

- In 2010, the Falconets eliminated the US on penalties in the quarter finals, and set up a semifinal meeting vs Colombia. This year, the Flamingos have done the exact same thing.

- Also in 2010, the Falconets defeated Colombia in the semifinals of the WC. Would the Flamingos follow suit?

Yea and Germany is also still in the mix. The Falconets played Germany in the final and lost
Too much of a coincidence

And Vicky Lopez won it for Spain. 2 goals within 8 minutes did the job.

The second goal obviously a contender for goal of the tournament.

This Spain team is well drilled sha...
The buildup to the second goal says it all. Just 3 passes to take out about 4 Japanese.

Colombia is similar too so we better be on top of our game.

FIFA WC fun fact:
Come 2023, the Super Falcons would have faced the host nation 5 times in group play, having faced hosts 1999 and 2003 hosts USA; 2011 hosts, Germany; 2019 hosts, France; and 2023 co-hosts, Australia.

The SF lost all four previous encounters

Vicky Lopez scores two late goals to complete the holders' comeback. The 2014 champions Japan concede for the first time in the tournament as the bow out. Vicky Lopez is eligible to play for Nigeria at senior level, huh? WHAT A PLAYER!

FT: JPN 1-2 ESP

So we see Vicky Lopez now.Is FiFa routing for an all European U17 fifa world cup final.
Should Nigeria win Colombia we go and face Spain or Germany.
Is Germany the strongest team in this tournament ?
Let's see .
Let's discuss the permutations in 3 ways
Nigeria defeats Colombia and Spain defeats Germany,Nigeria go to play Spain in the final and Spain win OR Nigeria wins -Perm 1
Colombia defeats Nigeria and go on to play Germany in the final and Nigeria faces Spain for third place-Perm 2
NIGERIA defeats Colombia in semifinal and meets Germany in final and goes on to defeat team fair and square while Spain meets Colombia which to me is a boring match.
Very boring match
Did fifa plan this tournament from the beginning
6 teams had easy group fixtures
Spain
Germany
USA
Colombia
Brazil
Japan

Three were eliminated on bizarre circumstances while 3 others not here were used to be eliminate of others
Nigeria
Japan
Brazil
If Spain loses to Germany it looks easy for Germany to win the tournament if they meet Colombia.
Germany were lucky for winning against Nigeria.
Nigeria were lucky for winning against USA
Spain won outrightly against Japan
Germany didn't win outrightly against brazil.one of Brazil's goals were cancelled.
It seems FIFA HAS ROUTED Spain or Germany to win this tournament with

Two evens vs one odds

Spain and Germany are the evens
Nigeria is the odd that can cause an upset and win this tournament.
Spain were favorites from the beginning.
If Spain wins the tournament it makes it nothing
Of Germany wins same thing
If Nigeria wins the tournament it makes a big thing.
Germany and spain have good developmental foot ball programs.
Nigeria has no good developmental programs.
If they as odd tournaments wins this tournament,it would be good for the History of Nigeria in cadet tournament's at this level.
Fifa may want Nigeria to make history as being the team to win both male and female u17 football tournaments.
This is the only great news.
Should Spain win it it wouldn't make sense.
Trust our Nigerian girl Vicky Lopez is the only one powering Spain all through.
Like onyeka gamarro I just hope things don't come out Unexpectedly as expected
Nigeria is the odd team in this tournament suffered from bias officiating in the opening match.
Played fairly both games against New Zealand and Chile.
We have less fouls.Fifa giving us a free ride to semifinal may be up to something.
But I pray their expectations would fail and we go on to win the tournament.
The ball is in the flamingoes court Now.
It depends on their determination and carefulness.
I don't see officiating on the next game favoiring us at all for any reason.
Fifa too doesn't or would not see a match of Colombia vs Spain and a good final nor Spain Germany
Nigeria vs Spain or Germany vs Nigeria would be a good final because Nigeria has history with Spain and a bad opening game history with Germany.
So the odds can strike out the even here.
The whole formula is one odds against two evens.

Should Spain beat Germany and meet Nigeria and Nigeria wins in the final.it would be good at this level.
Remember , Nigeria's Golden eaglets beat Spain in 2007 final after Nigeria beat Columbia in the QF.
The Nigeria flamingoes are meeting Columbia in semifinal and if they win and go on to beat Spain,Nigeria would make History as the only country to win in both male and female categories at U17 level.
This is the good part of us winning the tournament..
The other part is if we loose in the final,we have made history still for fair play even when officiating was at odds against other teams evenly for us and odds for us evenly against other teams.
Nigeria Germany game was at odds against us but even for Germany
Germany Brazil game was at odds against Brazil but evenly for Germany to win
Spain had no odds or even they are the best team this tournament and have nothing to prove if they win the tournament.
It would look too easy for Spain to win this tournament.
Hence fifa must have thought about it .
To create an upset one odd team must emerge into a final or semifinal and it is Nigeria

I do not really understand this. So Spain and Germany will face off but Fifa wants 2 Euro teams in the finals. How exactly did Fifa make it easy for Nigeria? they asked New Zealand and Chilee not to play to expectation? Or the referee was against USA?

You're putting too much expectations on Morocco...I guarantee that even with Randy, we will do better than them.. Their performance at the AWCON was largely aided by home advantage...They have a good coach, yes, and a few brilliant players, but that's just about it...

They’re in a good group yes… But do you see SA beating Sweden, Italy and Argentina?

And I hope you’re not writing Argentina Off as they’re the weakest among the 3 Opponents of SA. Anyway Banini is back with the Argentina side…

As for Morocco their group is the easiest they could get, apart from Alexander Popp and her teammates tearing them apart, they can at least get a slim result against the Colombian and Korea side which are beatable but the experience of the Colombia and Korea is something the Moroccan side doesn’t have….

One thing is about knowing how to grind out Victory for your team as a Coach no matter the style of play, But Randy isn’t that kind of Coach…

If we have a good Coach we can get a solid result (7-9points) against Australia, Canada and Ireland..

Are we expecting a Miracle from Randy?? The handwriting is very clear on the Board.

The World Cup is in July next year, We have about 9months to prepare from now getting a new Coach can’t be a bad idea. The Players are there, they just need a better Coach who can grind out the wining mentality of the team…

How do you have hot cakes like Oshoala, Ajibade, Ucheibe, T Payne, Plumptre and Nnadozie as players in your team and you will still be struggling…

I get ur point. But to be realistic, the only team SF are winning in this group is the Irish coz randy is definitely leading them to the WC.

Just taking another look at the World cup draws and trying to see how that affects our preparations the next 9 months or so.

We need to line up friendlies that reflects our Group's composition, while also not ruling out playing other countries with African nations in their group who will most likely prefer to play Nigeria. The NFF has to be smart to leverage on this.

Spain has Zambia in their group and may want to play Nigeria to prepare. With Australia and Ireland in our group, playing England should be priority in my opinion. England however doesn't have an African in their group yet, and playing Nigeria may not be priority except Senegal qualifies from the playoffs.

Playing the USA is best fit to prepare against Canada, but we humourously have played both nations and that may not be necessary. USA also doesn't have an African in their group yet except Cameroon qualifies via playoffs.

We have about 5 more FIFA windows before the World cup, the next one starting November 7th (not sure we have anything planned for that). Hoping the NFF and Randy make the most of them.

Just get it my bro the political aspect of soccer is sometimes mixed with business. The number of spectators and the sponsorship increases depending on the teams at play. The value of each team sometime is greater than a competition itself.
Just understand my point here .of a truth fifa would love to see that final Germany vs Spain and I explained this whole issue of one odds and other evens.
