Do you think governments in California where you have wildfires every year have emergency homes for people to relocate to? Or states in the hurricane belt like Texas, New Orleans and Florida?

A few years ago when I was in houston, and a hurricane was threatening to come our way, the government told residents to be prepared to leave of the warning came. We had packed emergency supplies in the boot of the car and made arrangement with my sisters who lives like 3hours North of Houston. US government didn't provide anywhere for me or other residents to relocate to.

And in 2017 or so when Katrina hit Houston, people relocated to friends houses, churches, and stadiums etc. Govt did not give them house to relocate to. Though the govt emergency response in US is far, far better than what we have here.

So stop these types of comments as though govt does everything for everyone abroad.

You used to be very objective in your views, what happened? I would think it would be more urgent to move out of the flood path to safety than thinking of the house. Are you suggesting they stay on the flood path because they have nowhere to go? Was the state government warned of the impending flood? For your information flood is a natural disaster and its beyond any government. Its the practice everywhere in the world. The best we can do is to save and preserve lives. Properties can be re-acquired.
