A friend of mine had his interview scheduled for next week but he just got a mail saying the interview has been canceled and he’ll hear from them soon.

Hi Nairalanders,
I have a conditionally approved cosigned loan from Ascent Student Funding to cover my COA for my graduate studies Spring 2023. My challenge is that Ascent is demanding for a signed I-20 as part of the documents I need to submit to have a full approval of my loan. I need a POF to get this from my school and Ascent loan is supposed to serve this purpose.

Please, does anyone have an idea on how I should go about this? I have mailed my school's ISSS office about my perculiar situation but yet to get a response.

I did. I received a mail that my appointment initially stated to be held in November at the US embassy in Abuja is canceled. Another person reported a similar case.

I don't know how they work but you are not supposed to be looking for POF again. That's the purpose of applying for the loan. I used mpower financing, after the initial approval of my loan request. They issued me a support letter I sent to my school to request for I-20 stating how much loan I was taking and all.So I sent the signed I-20 to them to finalise the loan offer but I don't know how these other ones you are using operates.

Good day everyone, please I'm asking on behalf of my sister, she has 3 kids and the last one was born in the US, they are 14,12 ,and 7 years old respectively. She wants to apply for US passport for the last one (she didn't apply when he was born), and also wants to apply for study study visa for secondary school for the other two, Please I need information on how she can go about it.

Good evening everyone. Please, I am having challenges with paying for my application fee online. Access Bank isn't allowing that, and several other banks I tried failed too. I don't understand, is there anything behind this?

What could make the us schedule visa interview for me a 11 months which is almost a year after applying for student visa. I still don't why my case is different.
