Hello Tonye001

I really enjoy reading your diary, it is inspiratory to me.
I enjoy the fact that I can currently relate to some of your preclinical problems, and I'd tell a similar story about my clinical postings soon(if med school doesn't finish me kpatakpata)
I hope what I'm asking isn't too personal.
I wanted to inquire about how you're able to combine studies with making money.
And what kind of business you do, if it's freelancing or any other online business you run.
Also the skills you acquired in learning them.
If you could also talk about ways you or any of your colleagues earn money while in school, I'll appreciate it.
Thanks a lot.
Wow
We'll be waiting boss. I'm aspiring for medicine in unizik. Any fellow aspirant?

Good afternoon here, please my elder cousin who's 25 wants to go back to medical school but everyone In the family is against it even me because of the strike and everything going on. Is it worth it go back to back to med school at that age with the inconsistency in the education sector?
I'll be 25 few months from now and I'm still in 100l smiley. Yes, I know I'm no longer a baby and ought to have gone farther but I've no regrets, it's my dream and I'm happy pursuing it. If he wants to do medicine and he's decided that, allow him. The best you all can do is support him any way you can, especially financially (if he isn't capable), don't try to talk him out of it. He's an adult and I believe he must have thought it through before making that decision. Plus or minus, by 35 he's already a graduate and I think that a reasonable age to start living one's dreams.

Hello doc, good evening.

1. Combining studies and making money is a matter of choice. We all have our priorities, and this doesn't make anyone a bad student. Our situations are different, Mr. A's need for money may be more pressing than Mr. B's. If Mr. A decides to nas (as we call it here) some lectures to get some money, this doesn't make him a bad student. Time is limited; we only have 24 hours. I can't have extra hours, so I try to manage it without significantly compromising anything. Sometimes, I do the two at the same time (school + hustle). Other times, I dump one, and do the other and face whatever consequence that comes. I once told a senior resident that I couldn't attend clinical activities because I had a deadline I needed to beat. See?

2. Freelancing. I freelance. I write for clients, and I get paid for it.

3. Skills? Uhmmm..guess in my case, that'd be being a better writer than I was yesterday.

4. People do all kinds of things for money these days. There are lots and lots of freelance opportunities: content writing, search engine evaluation, web designing, etc. Basically, these are remote jobs you can do while schooling.

Thank you very much, chief, for finding time to read Pouvoir. I hope I've satisfactorily answered your questions.

No private University that offers medicine is "cheap" so to say. If you can afford at least 2-3m per year, then you are good to go

I wondered too. And the thing about private schools is that sometimes that 2milla might even be audio, when you enter the school, you will meet a different scenario.

259 is quite low for Uniport medicine though but it's still possible if you can score very well in the post utme, since Uniport is always quite considerate with their cut off. Your aim should be nothing less than 300, even more as this case may be, I think it's possible too. Just know your stuffs very well and revise jamb past questions thoroughly. All the best.

Spot on advice. UNIPORT POST UTME is PURELY JAMB past questions, solve jamb past questions for at least 20 years and you are 80% in.

The private Universities made a kill with the ASUU strike. When the ASUU President was insisting on the strike continuing and refusing to shift grounds, i was beginning to suspect some underhand deal with the private universities as many parents that could not wait were now taking their children there. With demand outstripping supply, some parents had to heavily bribe to get spaces for certain courses that has carrying capacity.

Hello good day Docs. I really need your advice on this. I will be starting 300 level next year January in my Botany program, but I have this passion to sit for jamb again and go for medicine. I was recently advised to complete this current degree of mine but due to me not loving this course and also the notion that when you want something so bad you should go for it at the moment, what do you guys think?
PS: I will be 27 next year, I have spent 5 years already due to a reoccurring illness of mine which made me to defer a semester, and also due to the strike and covid
2. I have financial issues at the moment, as I don't have a source of income.
Guys to be frank I really need advice on what should be my next line of action. Cause I always tell my self to focus on my current program but always finding my self wanting to go for medicine again.

*My candid advice*

Don't quit what you are already doing. Afterall you are almost through.

However, you could still sit for Jamb now, if luckily you gain admission, then you could defer the admission till you are ready.

I don't think you should consider quitting anything.

The God who have seen you through all these years won't allow you fall.
