Some people don't understand the scenario been played btw FG and ASUU....

ASUU is demanding for something that has been stamped since and should be implemented....

While .,

Federal Government is trying to deny and force a new set of amendments on ASUU...

So the number of months FG dragged this issue with ASUU Should be paid to the lecturers.....
Federal Government should have hurried and made sure this case did not last for 1month but they were busy forming India Amin....insulting ASUU as they like and overlooking them ...

As an employer of Labour, you should follow due process , any agreement you must make with your employees should not have deficits and should run concurrently....

And any delay to enforce such agreement is never the fault of those you employed but your lackadaisical lazy intimidating attitude should be blamed starting from the Education Minister to the Minister of Labour ...

Federal Government should sit up and address this situation...

We are talking about Education of the country and not rearing of cows and asking for open grazing bills abeg.....

This is not about bandits doing their usual business, this is a first class serious issue Government should have tackled once it comes out .....

They should face the music of ASUU pls ...

This government has tried a lot
1. They are the only govt that removed subsidy and people couldn't protest

2. They warned people against strikes and people kept quiet

3. They killed innocent youths and silenced everyone

4. Fought ASSU and won

5. Serious hike in prices or food items and yet no body is talking...

So bad we must confess
that is d story of Nigeria,a country that like suffering pass happiness.

Court doesn't control ASUU, there was a Court injunction for them to start off first before demanding any other thing, and that has been done, now , they have the full right to take another decision....

I hope Buhari led Government can behave like ASUU if court favours ASUU and ask Federal Government to pay them .....

This has been the issue in this forgotten land of Nigeria.... where court orders are not taken serious by the Federal Government once it doesn't favour her.....lols

Imagine those banks where you have accounts with, assume they go on strike for 1 full month, such that you have money in the account but cannot access it, would you support the bank paying them salary for that month?

I left this system a long time ago so,.I'd not say much. All I can say is, those attacking ASUU over the strike need to have a rethink. Only one or 2 of their demands didn't not concern students and their welfare.

I will rather investigate the case and if I found out that those who went on strike are demanding for their rights, I will even help them sue those incompetent banks .....

Being my employer , does not make you so Superior to subject me to take decisions we didn't agree on...

If I come to your company for an interview, and we agree you should pay me with a particular account, pay me on a particular date, then on a particular amount , but at the end , none of our agreement was done by your company.....

Whose fault is it ?

If I go on strike and you can't handle the situation and another month comes, bear it in mind that am your worker and you should pay me for that month and the month your attitude made you not to avoid......

Federal Government should have sacked all Lecturers if they knew this strike will linger for good 8 months ,.....very lazy Government....

If you go to a loan App, and collect money from them,.... and you can't pay on that date you were told and agreed to pay, whose fault is it?
You must pay for other days that lasted or other months ...
If you can't be able to handle issues, pls don't go for that issue....
Lecturers are doing real business in the University.....not bandits or rearing cows

Well.

The Government no well normally but on this decision not to pay the Lecturers for the months they were on strike, it’s not a bad idea.
Will government pay? I guess no, did they go on strike just like that? They had a reason for the strike, pls don’t judge without facts
Who will cover for the ransoms, debts, due house rents, emotional and psychological damages on the parts of the students?

I totally agree with u bro....the excesses of the lecturers doesn't make dm a Saint in comparison with FG....Same lecturer that lectures in uni will go to private school and teach well and set exam based on what was thought but in public schs they don't give a Bleep...they claim they are not meant to teach but lecture.....what is even the difference. The students are the real scapegoats in the struggle not ASUU...they should count their loses abeg
buygala:
Good one from the Government

Next time those old fvckers wanna strike, they should make sure they have enough funds to see them through ...You can't keep malice with your employer and expect to be paid for abandoning your duty post and becoming a nuisance.

If these lecturers get paid for sitting in their homes, who will pay the students for months of their young lives wasted due to the strike and compensate them for house rent paid for apartments they weren't around to use because of the strike?

Who will compensate the Campus business owners who lost so much revenue to the strike?

Who will compensate the many budding campus relationships that died because of the strike?...

Who will compensate the students who are now being forced in a mad frenzy to write exams in courses that were incompletely taught or not even taught at all..Stupid lecturers will just hand out bulky materials, do crash lecture for 3 days, and then have the audacity to tell students "A is for God, B is for me, C is open for the best among you to grab.

I have no pity for these lecturers..In fact, in addition to their not being paid a dime for any strike period, any striking lecturer should have 50k withdrawn by the government from his pension fund for every week he strikes..

Nonsense and ingredients undecided

Supported.... I fully support Buhari on this.

Only a thief would asked or want to be paid for a job not done.

No work, no pay!

The good thing about this policy is that it would go a long way to forestall unnecessary and irrelevant strikes every year by ASUU.

This would help keep our children in school, without being frustrating by ASUU and their useless strikes every year. Our students must not suffer because ASUU want their pockets filled with money. Imagine 8 whole months wasted. Who pays the students?

A 4 year course should be 4 years and not 6 years, just because ASUU's unrealistic demands were not met.

I proffer Solutions, I don't just criticize.

ASUU should find a peaceful way to renegotiate a more realistic, implementable and economic friendly agreement with FG.

Our economy is bleeding every sector of our economy is bleeding, so ASUU most be sensible and reasonable.

ASUU is an employee of FG. Fighting FG would hurt ASUU more. Last, Last FG is too powerful for ASUU to take on.

As for FG.

FG please make sure they are paid, ASUU most not be owed for any job done. Also have a better review of their salaries. Because that is what all the fights by ASUU is all about.

My humble submission!

u be mumu

Oga, do you even know why ASUU went on strike in the first place?

Do you think they went on strike because they just felt like going on strike?

Is it even normal how these lecturers are being treated for crying out loud?

If you ask me, ASUU needs to go back on Strike immediately until the Government appropriately addresses the matter... enough is enough.

Dude, the ministry of Finance and the ministry of Education operate on two different wavelengths, so there is no basis of comparison...

Try to understand that the tertiary arm of education in Nigeria is currently broken and urgently needs to be addressed.
