When Dangote refinery, national and modular refineries come on line next year it will drastically reduce pressure on d usd.

You will be surprised that nothing will change. It may even get worse. This is Nigeria!

I don't expect pump prices to change, but I expect a few things:

1. huge savings in forex, maybe some forex income from exports (Mind you I don't know who Dangote's creditors are, so forex outflows for a few years.)
2. Complete or partial removal of fuel subsidy
3. More local cash circulation
4.

what I fear is sabotage from disgruntled importers (their own don be)

Yes USD may rise past 1000 Naira in d short term but in d first or second quarter of next year it will fall to bellow 700 Naira. As u accumulate don't get caught when it u-turns. Dis i have seen.

Impossible, not soo fast alot of economic indices have to fall in place.

1. We have to start refining our own fuel
2. Cut cost of running govt
3. Start exporting other minerals or should I say, start accounting for the other minerals we export
4. Check corruption..........

Number one alone won't happen until after atleast 2years.

Dangote refinery is completed 100% and has started recruiting. It will not only impact Nigeria but also cut Ghana's fuel imports.

Looks like a lot of people are relying on that refinery o. wink

Restriction implies that any US Dollar note below 2021 printed date will no longer be accepted or be a legal tender anywhere in the world… This effort is to curb billions of illegal monies in dollar bills warehoused around African continent emanating from drug-related, terrorism, kidnapping and money from corrupt politicians. Dangote that is begging for 300b as I type via bond. Refinery is still far away. For interested folks, the bond closes tomorrow 7th, I guess that should be the 2nd this year. Rate is above 15%

Guy, that’s not how it works. There are completion tests that must be met before it can be certified as completed by lenders. Kickstarting is not the same as 100% complete! angry

Nigerians need to know and understand how some people mostly politicians are plifering the machinery of Government for personal gains.........

Take keke maruwa for example..... at the point if importation, import duties is paid, on first usage, it is registered, plate number issued and yearly renewal of papers is assured, the fuel & lubricants it runs is similarly taxed........ Finally, for everyday it runs on the road, it is issued a ticket that makes the owner run it without clash with authorities...........

We all understand that the eventual riders take home is but a meagre sum off the value generated by the Keke, Still we Nigerians cant demand Good roads

Na who dey chop all this money

Hello guys, I approached gt bank today to apply for TBILL against wed (9th Nov) auction, to my surprise after some actions on his laptop, the banker told me TBILL presently not available and the portal not opening, that I should check back next week. But I went to access back and they were willing to offer me, that I should write an application to that effect...

What I wanna find out pls is, is access bank TBILL 1yr rate comparable with that of GT bank? Pls I need swift response, so that I can take action first thing in the morning.
Or I should just relax for the next auction of gt bank in a fortnight.

Either the GTB staff must have checked secondary market for you or he does not know what primary market TB is. He cannot be checking for Primary market TB on his laptop. Primary market is from CBN. The Access bank staff know his TB onions.

Osita pls calm down make una no fight, the battle is against this wicked rulers .....

I'm sure the refinery may have reached 90% but even at 100% alot has to be done b4 it starts operation.

We've not even heard conversations abt how he would be dealing with govt.....as partners. Will they sell to him in dollars or naira.....?

Would he be reducing our opec allocation thereby reducing revenue or would we still sell at capacity to the international market

How abt logistics, is he getting trucks or pipping......many questions unanswered. Matter still long small
