Nigeria that can not maintain ordinary Kanji Dam that generate lights want to get nuclear power plants? They want to expose Nigerians living in such region into getting hazardous waste and air, somebody should advise them to stop thinking such nonsense and focus on getting a good government that works before embarking in such plan

Ordinary road maintenance to patch port holes they can’t do it 100% not to talk of maintaining nuclear power plants i pity una

Its a BOOT agreement with ROSATOM

This poster is unbelievable, I kept shaking my head while reading his posts. The idea of Nigeria generating electricity from nuclear reactors is nothing but an epic delusion. Can you imagine that no nuclear power plant exists in the whole of Western Canada? Why, one might ask? Nuclear power plants are prohibited in some of the provinces in Western Canada because they are damn too risky to manage. Secondly, it is way cheaper and safer to generate electricity from hydro (dams)!

It's hilarious that the Nigerian government that lacks efficient solid waste management plan for major cities in the country is thinking of nuclear power plants shocked These folks in government should realize that managing liquid waste and spent fuel rods from nuclear plants is no small task. By the way, do Nigeria have mines for the nuclear fuel (Uranium)?
This government is going to decimate the population if they go ahead with this ill-advised project. There is no way nuclear waste won't contaminate our consumables.

There is a 30KW reactor in ABU Zaria

Why did you tell him? Please don't tell him! He can research just like you did.

Don't treat these imbeciles with kid gloves.

The info is there if they want to know. They just DON'T want to know so they can keep feeling inferior. They love that state of mind.

We should be looking to produce efficient renewable energy source such as Wind and Solar energy to sustain our energy use and still keep this Earth as healthy as we can.

Contact for Solar Inverter/CCTV/ Electric Fence and Automated Access Control.

I just tire. A country that is yet to annexed wind and solar energy to solve power problem want to annex nuclear energy. No be to steal money their generations will spend for life be this.

NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU THINK.

THE EXPERTS WHO HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS PROGRAM SINCE BEFORE YOUR FATHER WAS BORN, ARE IN A BETTER POSITION TO SAY WHAT NIGERIA CAN OR CANNOT DO.

CERTAINLY NOT A NOBODY LIKE YOU.

The useless father who gave birth to a nonentity like yourself was a nobody, is still a nobody and will forever be a nobody. Hopefully, they site the nuclear plants close to your location so that you can have a first-hand taste of the joys of nuclear power. Eleribu.

Ordinary waste disposal and management is a big issue in this country talkless of managing waste from nuclear plants that can still remain radioactive active for years.

You don't understand these folks. They don't want to be educated.

They revel in negativity, and any attempts to uplift their mindset with new, positive information, are met with hostility. They want to feel bad about their country. It's just the way they are because it makes them feel 'better' in some moral way I guess, to look down on their own society.

ACTUALLY, WHEN THE PLANTS ARE COMPLETED, YOU NEED TO DISCONNECT YOUR POWER SUPPLY AND USE A CONVERTER OR GEN, AS YOU DO NOT DESERVE THE BENEFITS OF THE NEW DEVELOPMENT, BEING A HATE-FILLED MENTAL MIDGET WITH THE IQ OF A GNAT.

We also like the easy way out which is usually not always the best.
If we had improved our hydro-turbines and keep a couple of gas-turbine for emergency we would be enjoying steady power in this country.

We also have the issue of energy distribution, which is the major issue with power.

There is a company that takes the waste away from your interim storage points or you can reprocess the waste if such facility is built in the agreement.

Dude, contracts have been signed with Rosatom. The project is irreversible. Nigeria wants it and Nigeria will get it.

The Buhari government does not joke when it comes to contracts and projects.

They see them through to the end, unlike their predecessors.

Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda are also pursuing nuclear power, though Nigeria is far ahead in the preparations for it.
