Today log
Weight 87.90kg
Weight Goal 80kg

Breakfast: Cucumber, egg and plantain

Lunch: About 150g of eba and oha soup with a piece of goat meat

Dinner: Cucumber juice, banana and 1/4 of a hand of grandnuts.

Where are all our TTC mamas trying to loose weight and stay healthy? You guys should come in here, let's motivate eachother.

One of the best ways to defeat PCOS is weight lose.
Healthy eating and exercise/keeping fit.

In other news, I won't be active here because of what I have on my plate at the moment. Please bear with me. But I am with you in flesh and spirit. I will be here on and off to try join mamas to keep the thread active.

You are doing great already. The goal is to eat healthy. More protein, veggies and fruit and less carbs with exercise like walking, jugging, brisk walk, dancing, jump robe etc. No late night food. Infact this one is the trick. Don't eat again after 6 or 7pm if you can. Before you know it your tummy will flatten out. Food you eat after 7 or 8pm mostly don't digest. They will make you gain weight fast and make you have big tummy.

And ofcos count your food intake and post them here to stay motivated. Anything you chop, post am here... that's all. grin

It is well.....i can eat rice all day, and I eat late at night, if I don't eat late, I will be very hungry during the midnight.

I try not to eat late even though it's sometimes difficult. I just promise myself to eat 8am the next day. It's just a matter of hours before morning.

Good morning mama's. I am under weight 45.8kg diagnosed with PCOS, high prolactin and uterine fibroid seedling. If am under weight, how come I have PCOS? I have stopped all sugary stuffs, I don't eat junks. So what else am I suppose to do?

PCOS is not only for the over weight. But will suggest you found out the type of PCOS you are having then the adequate remedy will follow

I want to lose 8kg in the next two months (so help me God)

What I eat today:
Breakfast one orange and one cucumber with small grandnuts (about half a hand full)

Lunch: small eba, about 180g and draw soup and two pieces of goat meat

Dinner: I don't intend to take dinner (let's see how it goes. I may change my mind sha.

Snacks: A slice of bread and butter around 5pm

For Exercise, I walked for 37mins.




In order to lose weight the most important metric to track is your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). This is essentially an estimation of how much calories you burn per day, based on details such as height, bf%, weight, activity levels etc. The science is that you eat above your TDEE to gain weight, maintain it to keep current weight/body recomposition and eat below it to reduce weight.

Taking into account a kg of fat is about 7700 calories. Suppose you want to lose at least 1kg of actual fat / week you would need to eat at least 1100 calories less than your current TDEE daily to achieve that goal. For reference that's skipping either your breakfast, dinner or the swallow portion of your lunch.

You would agree that is pretty drastic and not sustainable / healthy in the long run.

Would you be open to increasing the timeline for your weight loss (possibly 3 months ?) in order to give you freedom to calculate your TDEE, create a balanced meal plan and adapt to the lifestyle changes.

I didn't see your food log. Log in what you eat daily. Tell us what you eat daily. 90% of mamas/papas here knows what to do to lose weight. Sticking to the diet for so many reasons, including breastfeeding and other TTC issues, has been the issue.
Don't tell me what to do because I didn't ask for it. What I asked is for papas and mamas to come tell us what they eat daily, how they exercise, and maybe what they personally did to lose weight.

I was able to lose 18kg in a space of few months through intermittent fasting. It takes discipline though.

There is something they call lean PCOS. It could be that, but please get a second or even third opinion before concluding you have PCOS. One thing that could work for you if you have PCOS is vitex. Vitex work greatly to reduce prolactin. Bco with B6 too work greatly on high prolactin.

Sometimes when I eat past my normal calorie I just don't eat again for the rest of the day cheesy

Like when I crave pounded yam(yam is very high in calories) and better soup with all the orishirishi. Hahahahahah. I will just kuku no chop again for the rest of the day.

I could’ve picked on one of the numerous fake sciences or bad advices you were giving out but I didn’t have anything nice to say about those so I turned a blind eye. If you’re insecure about a ‘child’ proposing valid points, you don’t make an accountability post on a thread for that log or just take whatever you’ll learn from the post and move on.

I have high prolactin ,I used bromocriptine for months and I stopped using it ,then my period stopped …pls who else has experienced that …I have been Ttc for five years now
