You guys need to chill out. While a devalued Naira would definitely affect us all, it is only logical for some of us to pray for Naira's depreciation. Business is all about selfishness and everyone is trying to make more money.

It's like blaming mechanics for wanting more people to have spoilt vehicles or a doctor for wanting more sickness in the land or street food vendors for hoping to have more hungry people in the marketplace. Whenever there's a holdup along Zaria-Kaduna highway, I always see villagers goig there with cold water and soft drinks to sell to travellers bcause that's an opportunity for them. Morally, I believe they all wish well for everyone but at the end of the day, they need these problems to EAT!

As long as they are not the ones rendering the naira valueless, your energy should be more focused on the government because along with bandits, yahoo boys, and terrorists, they are the most unpatriotic set of people in Nigeria. Someone like Andrew Yakubu had no problem hiding up to 40 million dollars in soakaways. Dasuki and the likes of Baba-Kusa (who'd "spent" 1.5 BILLION Naira on PRAYERS For Nigeria against terrorism) are all free people today with little chances of ever going to jail. The government would never jail them because they know they are doing their own currently too.

Even at international level, we can clearly see how the developed countries are aiding our corrupt leaders. It's because when those leaders steal, they hide the funds in their banks and that means more development for them at our expense. But should we blame them or should the blame go to the leaders themselves and we that have refused to take action against them? I will leave that for you to answer.

As long as people are making clean, legitimate money online, they have every right to hope for a weaker naira no matter how wrong it might seem to you. Every calamity is an opportunity for some people.

NB: I make most of my money offline and a devalued naira would certainly not benefit my business.

WORD!!!!!!!!! Please educate that animal...

The irony of it is that the same guy you quoted , that guy is a supporter of tinubu...the same tinubu that is part of the leaders that caused the problem that Nigeria is facing...yet the same stupid boy is claiming to be a patriotic Nigerian..

Tinubu?! Lolcheesy

Even though I don't support any of the 3 major candidates, Tinubu is the last person I could ever cast my vote for.

Now that bitcoin is going according tp plan, i know so many people will lose their hard earned money, well here's another good news because if you follow trends and gov't news, you'll get this clarity about Buhari's promise to make #1=$1.
WARNING: practice the art of frugality because naira will be very valuable in the coming months. We have to destroy to build and so far the destruction is complete and the building is in motion. Don't bother quoting me cos i won't reply.
P.S: JAGABAN....
Even if you repackage a turd, a turd will still be a turd!! You should go and learn what drives a countries economy, e.g more export than import, good govt policies that attract foreign investment thereby bringing fx inflows etc... The same jagaban that says print more money and lower interest rates grin grin a good economist should know that too much money in circulation will bring about spikes in prices of goods and services, low interest rate would encourage people to borrow more.. and the same jagaban said that government should encourage borrowing i.e making borrowing accessible to Nigerians angry , there's nothing like good debts, I don't want to live my life servicing debts with ridiculous interests. Why are some Nigerians dumb even when they see the reality of hardship all over the country??
The same naira u are defending have fallen more that 12% this weekend.

Someone is quoting 440 naira, i suspect more volatility to come this week. Either that or the guy is a scammer. - https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/34336709?key=932cad9e6139f46289b42f6d464a917c

Not necessarily a scammer..I remember during that time when CBN was blocking bank accounts of people trading crypto with it , They even had spy on binance who even pretend to be p2p merchant and they offer you very attractive price just to lure you to trade with them, boom after trading with them , your bank account gets flagged and blocked and you begin to wonder what went wrong.....if for example bitcoin is selling for $18,000 they will offer to sell their own at $17,000 just to lure you ..same thing applies to usdt..

Why is Naira crashing against the Dollar again?

That means there wasn't really any value gain when people were making noise three days ago. It there was, Naira would have appreciated against GBP, Euro, and CAD as well, not just the USD.

Everything stemmed from the fake rumour flying around about old Dollar notes being discontinued as a legal tender.

I incurred some lossses, but I was actually happy that the naira was appreciating gradually. All my hopes dashed now.

Some folks even projected the dollar to crash to ₦300 by the end of the year. So all na wash

The truth is this, we are the ones making things or life difficult for ourselves. Where is Nigeria heading to? This is wickedness of the highest order.

It is as a result of bad governance. If not, people will not be increasing prices of commodities every minute and anyhow they want it and claimed, that it is demand and supply.

In a sane country, the government regulate the prices. You can't wake up one morning and be increasing the prices of commodities.
