A friend of mine who would joining her husband on F2 was at Lagos embassy today (22 July 2022) for interview.

After very few questions like, how long have you been married (5years), how long are you staying in the US (6weeks), etc, she said the VO smiled and gave her a white paper and returned her passport to her and said she would be contacted via email.

On the white paper, it was indicated "Administrative processing and no document is required from applicant".

Please guru in the house, those that have experienced similar issue should explain what they meant by administrative processing and how many days it takes for embassy to contact applicants.

Will really appreciate your contributions... Thanks
Hi please, did the embassy eventually get back to your friend? Please if I may ask, how long did it take? Was she granted the visa ?

Hello everyone, I'm new in and I just want to share my interview experience and hoping to get some advice on it... I was denied of an American visa. It was F1 Visa, I planed on going as an undergraduate. My first attempt. The questions asked are;
Why USA: Told them it's because of the great educational system, the universal laungauge is English which isn't a problem for me cause I can speak fluently in it as I won't have a problem settling down also the distance isn't far from my home country

School: Montclair State University

Why I'm leaving my current study in Nigeria to start all over afresh in US. This is where I think the problem is, I told them it's because of the educational system in my country which has given me set back, the strike and [b]also because the course given to me by my uni isn't my choice of study[/b and I want to go study my most preferred course in the country that has best educational system.

I intend on going for it again before the resumption of my school which is Jan. I don't know what happened and I just need advice on what to do or say and what the problem could have been

I'm going for my f1 visa for undergraduate study.. I'm 20 years of age, I'm an undergrad here in Nigeria buy I'm sick of this strike issues hence I've decided to go get a foundational degree in the US.
Do I need to tell the vo this?
Your call.
What matters most is the university and finance. You cannot leave unilag to go and pay full price for one uncompleted community college

Yes, the app will act as a third party in paying your sevis fee through western Union. But you will have to upload your i-901 document when paying

Thanks boss...I really appreciate.

Hey bro! Lemme be brutally honest with you. Your chances are so slim with a Bachelors. Any age above 24 for a bachelors typically gets a VO to raise eyebrow. I remember when I heard my Visa interview about 3years ago, the dude who was in front of me at the Lagos embassy was 24 and was going for a bachelors degree in nursing. He was in nursing school at the time or was a practicing nurse who just finished nursing school. The VO kept talking about his age. Well, he was denied. Not saying it was because of his age. His age was really a thing of concern for the VO. But a bachelors degree at 32 doesn’t just sound right.
To add to that, you already have a bachelors degree equivalent, why not go for a masters degree. Even those who have masters already and going for another masters typically shove it under the carpet at the embassy. Cos a typical question is - you already have a masters, why another master and not PhD?

I’d recommend you get a masters degree! Many schools can offer you admission with your HND couple with your work experience.

Good luck! [/quote]

She should go for her interview.
If she gets the visa she should differ her admission while waiting for her child's interview.

But the problem is that the removed the dependent child from her profile. Please what do I do about the dependent (F2) interview. Thank you for writing to the U.S. Visa Service Desk.

We understand that your expedited appointment request has been approved.

Strange that this very active thread has suddenly got quiet since this issue of fraud was brought here. It goes to show how terrible some Nigerians are.

You are not far from the truth, boss
It's so typical of Nigerians actually!! A lot of our brothers are just fond of burning bridges after crossing. They easily forget to give back to the community that once fed them. They then hide under the pretext of "no one owes anybody anything."

I miss the part 14 and 15 of this thread, mehn!! cry cry Those threads are the definitions of true selflessness!

Nobody is making money from group search dates.

This has to be sarcasm, right? I hope it is, or why else would not one, not ten people pay a guy on a WhatsApp group I once joined to do the search for them? Some of them even paid as much as 100k. He took their CGI login details and did the stressful lookout for them.

But then, you're right that it's just laziness.

No agent can magically create date, them too spend time on the site waiting for available dates to show up...i remember when i needed a date and i almost paid 150k to one agency, i was lucky enough to get sense and checked dates for myself till i got a closer date before my program resumption next year summer. I repeat, agents cant manufacture dates. They do what everybody else is doing, which is checking the sites constantly and get paid for it.

You garrit bro!!

A friend of mine got PhD offer in the US. He has families and 2 kids. Since these kids will probably constitute nuisance and won't allow him to focus on his studies, can he forget about his family in Nigeria and tell his wife to find another husband? Going to the US is a big achievement and nothin should come in the way of that. Most times, it's better to forget about your parents in Nigeria and move anyways. That way you won't get bogged down with their issues while trying to figure your life abroad

Ment and malaria, obviously! This has to be a prank grin

You hardly see anyone moving to US and pack family along... They go first, then family follows later....
US goverment take kids upbringing very serious. You have to give them 100% attention and care. Any carelessness noticed from you can cause your deportation...
If you are still yet to find your feet, its best to leave your children in Nigeria.

Hardly bawo? The way Nigerians generalize baffles me so much. They just sit down, formulate scenarios and try to shovel them down our throats. Wonderment!!

Aside the financial implications, it is completely right and easier to move with one's family. In fact, that on its own is enough proof of not wanting to elope with their women. The only issue that may arise is the F1's inability to justify the funds meant to defray the F2s' expenses.

My advice on people with family

If you have funding: Go to the embassy with your family
If you don't have funding: Go to the embassy woth your family and hold a financial evidence

It actually rarely affect if they will give you the visa or not. If you don't go with them now, it usually come with alot of frustration later.
Thank you.
