Edidiong2013:I’ve used it twice. Could you expatiate on what you mean by “hanging”? Do you mean the money did not hit the recipient account timely? |

@Teeebabyyy, @Johnstan, @Thomysne Could you please share the email format you forwarded to IRCC requesting your application status. This will be really helpful because my application has passed the processing time. I have tried sending emails but I keep getting generic response. Teeebabyyy:This was a response I got after sending webform.

HopefulSuccess:Here is the content of my last mail sent. I never got any response for any of my webforms/emails btw. I sent them @6am whenever I wanted to cos Nairobi is 2hrs ahead of us. Good morning Sir/Ma This is to bring to your attention that my application is in its 17th week (month/day applicant) and I'm yet to get a favourable decision. I understand the COVID 19 pandemic, staff strength reduction and working from home effects on the processing time and I do not take these for granted, however, I am appealing that you prioritize my application in any way you can so I can meet up with my deadlines. Thank you in anticipation of your feedback. Full name Unique Client Identifier (UCI): ******** Application number: ******** Date of application: month/day/year Regards. |

Bro, I don't think so, I have a friend who is Canada since May 2022 and he is for September 2022 intake. The only issue is that the immigration officer might ask why you're coming early. Also, they might want to ask a few questions, but most times they don't ask. I plan to enter early too. One thing we need to know is this, Canadian govt needs our money - my guy said he heard that they call international students cashing cows I have also asked some experienced travel agents such as wakadoctor and co, and they said you can enter anytime you want so far you have your visa. Visa is key and also your money (that's one reason the immigration officer will be particular about) my advice for anyone who has their visa ahead of resumption is to try and pay for another semester now. But note that, you can't work without your school enrolment letter. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare-arrival.html If my statement sounds rude or offensive, please pardon my manner because tomorrow is Sunday. yusmuf001:We've talked about it several times here! It is not illegal or offensive to arrive before your start date, but you must have a genuine reason if questioned by a CBSA officer about why you arrived so early. Another factor is your living expenses. Let me tell you something, once you cross the border into Canada, bills await you, REMEMBER you will start spending $ not naira again ooo, and you can't start working until your school resumes. So one month before resumption is still ideal, and you can settle in within that time frame. If you have huge POF & living expenses (money), well, that’s won’t be a problem. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by jaydave: 8:15pm On Nov 19, 2022 |
I guess people so keen to move long before their resumption don’t care about the living expenses, they have d confidence of disobeying d law and work under the table without enrollment … lol … no be everybody be rich kids for dis japa tinz oo, omo! Some ppl na loan and Dey gas go on time to begin to dey hustle for pay back … lol…. But disobeying the law isn’t a good idea for someone that would be looking forward to getting a PR after studies … make bad record no go haunt d person in future kennyjoy: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by kennyjoy(m): 8:42pm On Nov 19, 2022 |
jaydave:I know right lol people wan move before resumption, but to be candid, you need to plan well, imagine arrived 3months before your resumption, you started balling, paying rent if at all you were lucky to get a room self, most stay at AirBNB which it’s lot of money, buying groceries, you will start eating foodstuffs you bring from 9ja ooo, foodstuffs that suppose to last you for atleast a semester or two EXCEPT you have a families/friends who is already here to settle you IN softly, even if at all they want to helped you, coz most friends and families will want you to pay your own bills, then go let you that no be den send you come Canada. I came in a month before my resumption, when I calculated how much I already spent, just for a month ooo without working heeeeeheee. In a nutshell, I'm not discouraging anyone who want to resume early, just make sure you have a legitimate reason, also put some other factors in place. |

kennyjoy:Lol Abeg throw small light into the house search of a thing, is it that difficult? Any idea what the average cost is. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Isyma(m): 9:02pm On Nov 19, 2022 |
Thomsyne:Wow my Nigga, I'm just seeing this just now, I've been away for sometime, so happy for you. Congratulations. May the Land of Canada favour you. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by kennyjoy(m): 9:36pm On Nov 19, 2022 |
johnstan:Well, the house search and cost depend your province, and luck also play it own role. I live in BC where rental is brutal. So, before you travel, start communicating with someone you know who lives in your school's province. There are also some communities on Facebook/IG where you can meet your 9ja fellow. If you have family or friends in your province who are willing to help you narrow down your house search + cost, that's a plus. If you can't get any of this, before or when you arrive, you can book an AirBNB for two weeks and begin your house search (Facebook market place, Craigslist, etc.). Don't book AirBNB for 2/3 days. ooo, because you rarely get an immediate move in rent in Canada, the most common move in dates are the first or fifteenth of the month. |

Thank you for sharing your idea on the matter. I have also asked someone who’s living in Canada and he said anyone with a valid visa can enter Canada way ahead of time before school starts. All the answers so far are valid and I really appreciate your time to share your ideas/thoughts… yusmuf001: |

Bruh you have nailed it ooh The reason for early resumption is to settle in well on time and sabi the country small. That being said, one also have to be calculative financial wise. So, thanks for your advice. kennyjoy: |

Please with regards to upfront medicals, I did mine few days ago and I'm a bit confused, the sheet to upload is it the one the medical personnels told me it would take two to five days to upload and they will also send a copy to my email or is it the sheet that was given to me after the medicals registration before I proceeded to carry out the medical assessment? |
