Please do you know if they still give the yellow slip for biometrics...

They don't give yellow slip anymore. It's one small white slip that contains your information
They staple it on one of the coloured photocopy of your international passport you took there and give it to you.

Good day gurus,
Pls I need help on how to package my proof of funds as my mother who is my sponsor plans to sell her properties for 12m, would it be enough for an estimated tuition of CAD19800, also am thinking of using it as gift deed, or how shuld i present it to the visa officer? My sponsor also has intention to use the money to increase her business so she can be paying the school fees from her buisness. I would also like to know if I should add mpower loan to back it up.pls advise me on it

Given your response,

Living exp for 3 years = 30k CAD
Tution = 19800 or 20k sha

Total 50k CAD. By CBN’s rate, this is about 16.5M.

So the 12M might not work. You’ll need to back this up with something else

Wish you all the best

It’s possible they are triaging the processing.
Probably Abuja is now operating at max capacity. You know after the terrorist scare, people probably stopped submitting there.

Did you just read your biometrics message since it was sent in march?

Have you done your medicals and biometrics?
If yes then send webforms and emails to IRCC for feedback.

Have checked the message since the day they sent it, but I don’t know why it showing November 16

I just did the medical on 31st of March 2022, because I believe maybe with that it can allow them look at application again

I ordered for GCMS Notes on 29th of March 2022

Hi Chief, please contact an MP in your province or more specifically- the one in your city.

There are theories that MP inquiries trigger an action on an application.

Ok. Your focus should be on the stages of the application and not the letter attachmentsd.

What is the content on the gcms report you ordered?
Has your medicals been updated to passed?
Has your biometrics been updated to completed?
If no, send your e-medical sheet to IRCC and ask for feedback.

I think it's better to send to VFS Abuja. Sending to VFS Lagos is a lot of stress. First, they'd send to VFS Abuja, then VFS Abuja sends to IRCC Abuja (embassy). And I don't think VFS Lagos sends these passports to Abuja on a daily basis. They probably wait a few days and then dispatch in bulk.

I may be wrong though but that's my observation.

Submitting without paying the SMS fee has its own challenges too, I think. VFS rarely updates the message you get when you type in your tracking number unless it's almost ready for collection. Most times, you have to chat with them or send a mail before they update. It's quite frustrating.

I was actually gonna send to VFS Abuja but given the whole terrorist alert thing. I wasn't sure they were back to operations fully again.
But let's see how it goes sha.

I also got a generic response like this once, but I kept sending emails and webforms

Here's a sample;

Subject: URGENT| STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION

Hello Visa Officer,

I appreciate your effort towards my application. However, since my medical examination was passed, I haven't received any update regarding my application for more than a month now which has become of great worry to me.

My classes will be resuming very soon and as an international student it is advisable to arrive before the start of class in order to get settled in and prepare adequately for the semester ahead most especially this forthcoming winter semester.

Please I would really appreciate a timely response on my application so as to finalize my travel plans, thank you.

Applicant info;
UCI:
APPLICATION NUMBER:
Best Regards,
.......

I tweak my words sometimes though so it doesn't feel too repetitive. Hope this helps, goodluck.
