I can't believe that a simple recruitment with the aid of technology is taking NERC four months to complete. What's the point of doing it digitally if they cannot deliver a timely, effective, and efficient outcome?

This shows that something untoward is going on behind closed doors.

Why bother yourself on something that is not guaranteed for you? What will you do if at all NERC did not recruit? Will you be waiting for them to recruit your whole life? My brother go out of your way find something better for your life than worrying yourself about something that is not guaranteed. You might make a fortune better if you think than just keep waiting to be a government slave. Be an employer not an employee.

I am not bothered at all, just that I hate the fact that they are keeping people in suspense, which is bad. In terms of the Nigerian factor, I didn't even expect to be shortlisted from the start after submitting my application. So they should just let us know our fate, that's all.

Everything in life is not about fortune! Everybody thinks of fortune first (politicians, government officials, and individuals). This thought is exactly what led us to where we are today! What about positive impact, achievement and fulfillment? The guy profile speak well of him, he may have some better strategic skills and knowledge that we all Nigerians may benefit from him! We should be glad that he shows some interest, he deserves some chances to compete with other skillful and talented human capital resource as him, don't let us chastised him please! If you have any opportunities to be committed to doing things right in this country, please let us do it for sake of the next generation! If we are not open in giving all talents in the country some chances to compete and appoint the best amongst them and we continue with the barbaric system of politicising every appointments in the country, how do we find the problem solvers in Nigeria NERC or no NERC, We have already survived and still surviving the bad system, but don't let us continue with the bad system just for the sake of next generations please

Mr. Leks4sure, we are expecting an update from you here. At least, let us know what is happening.

Olowozain:

I quote from the law of the land (Nigeria) please, "Any applicant who does any act for the purposes of influencing the Commission, whether directly or indirectly will be disqualified from consideration for any post in the Federal Civil Service. It will be presumed that an applicant who indulges in canvassing does so because he/she lacks the prescribed qualifications and experience or the application lacks merit" I hope this answered your question. But sadly those making the law (the lawmakers/the stakeholders) do not preserved the law, they are the law breakers. Some have chastised me here but I don't care! However, we met in a bad legacy, bad system, bad hereditary, bad way of life; we must not shy away from saying the truth!
my brother those influencing the commission are doing it not because they lack the prescribe qualifications and experience but they are doing because the available slot is very low compared to the qualifies candidate. my brother all is just survival of the fittest

I know people are eager but i want to understand that this NERC is not your first rodeo of advertised recruitment. Things have not changed it takes time ask ncdmb it took 2 years former dpr 2016 recruit took almost the same time. If you can’t be patient then I don’t think chasing recruitment with a government agency is your thing. A lot happen behind the scenes, to get approval, to meet with FCC negotiations, meet with the ministers, then the head of the agency will be bombarded, to deal with those ones, the board of NERC, NASS, defend budget to make sure there’s money for new recruits to get paid at a certain timeframe, get final list, go back to FCC for certificate of compliance etc all works with the time frame of those they need to seek things from hence the bureaucratic bottleneck
Its not so straight forward or black and white as you think
They may have a process plan but time frame can elapse and they won’t meet up and things keep getting extended
My best advise is find something to keep you busy and distracted and when the time comes and you are destined to be picked you will surely be contacted but this anxiety is not it and it won’t hurry the process

No Agency can even advertise Recruitment without NASS budget and FCC approval please talkless of conducting online test.

So let people express their minds alots of us here are adults and you thinking that because we chats here we don't have anything doing is your own thoughts.

My people let's keep on making this room alive until the end.

This is where we are getting it wrong as a people. Yes, we are adults, but that doesn't mean we talk without respecting the feelings of others. Just take out time to read what he wrote about Leks4sure. People act as if individuals are mandated to drop info here. His kind of post is exactly why people choose to keep mute and feign ignorance with regards to sensitive topics.

It is not a fight, sorry for trying to advise people from giving themselves high bp before the process ends.

I was giving examples of the extenuating circumstances that can cause delay

Please you are free to express yourselves and make the people dropping info feel bad, maybe it will speed up the process for you whatever makes you sleep at night

Hey guys

The next step for the recruitment will be concluded this year. I think I have shared this info before... it's really not hearsay.

Also, the National Assembly etc that people are insinuating has completed its job before the recruitment is advertised. They only appropriate the budget and okay the numbers.

Nothing concerns FEC in an autonomous agency's recruitment

FCC will be involved and their approval is sacrosanct in the final shortlists leading to APL to be sure positions are spread enough where necessary. Usually some delays over shortlisting arise from waiting on the FCC

Overall no cause for alarm...

Very perfect my brother. I wrote mine on the 22nd of September, exactly 2 months today.
From my view, attack is highly unnecessary. Some persons here have infos that can keep us going until when the invite will be sent out, but for fear of atttack, they kept quiet.
At times, such infos bring the succour some of us needs to keep going at this point - we just want to hear something from the in house, not minding the authenticity, not because we're idle anyways. I stop my sermon.
Let the will of God be done.

Lek4sure said about 30 days ago that interview emails would dropped by November ending- that's enough to keep you guys away from this thread until November end rather than looming around reading other people's comments in frustrations and constituting nuisance without contributing to the thread. I don't think this thread was strictly created for only lek4sure's comments if that is what you guys wrongfully believed. Please visit this thread by December if you guys are frustrated by other people's comments, his latest comment is not yet expired please!

At this current stage of the recruitment, It is only reasonable to give information without timeline except when you be monitoring and supervising the timeline. Perhaps timeline is what capture and interest people. However, you would soon become out of favour by them if the next step does not end this year Though you don't owe anybody even if your prediction passed or failed! What's the next step that would end this year? Test, Interview, APL??

We should be hopeful to receive good news before the end of December.

This government is unveiling it campaign strategic projects and policies review. Employment is not left behind as many people are retiring ending of this year.
