Nothing to rejoice there mate. The stat shows the east has the least polulation so that automatically makes them the least poor zone. Its non brainer.

I think you'll find they're talking of the incidence of poverty in the regions as a percentage of the whole population!

The Igbos had their backs against the wall in the economic scheme of things in Nigeria as a result of the civil war. However they still managed to turn this disadvantaged position into a plus by hustling like their lives depended on it.
They've always been diligent but this time around they had to switch over to survival mode full time.
They even sacrificed their love for education to focus majorly on business & over time it paid off.
So there's nothing wrong with appreciating God & being proud of one's tribe for pulling off such a feat as long as we don't denigrate others in the process.
The high poverty rate in every part of the country is an indictment on our leaders. The mindless looting & corruption in Nigeria cuts across all tribes. I think the masses should start asking the right questions. We shouldn't let politicians divide us on religious or tribal grounds.

Mumu the two State i mentioned got the highest. I purposely didn't mention Akwa Ibom and Rivers because their Governors is working with theirs unlike Delta and Bayelsa that have nothing to show for theirs
