Unfortunately buhari failed to bring change to the system.

But I will get passport within two hours in kwara.
I dont need to know any immigration officer.
Any person with immigration clothes coming out of their office is good for me to deal with.
Particularly if I see kwara on his face.

Getting my passport was hell! I spent over 95k for a regular passport just to hasten things up but I ended up waiting 4months! This used to be a same day process in 2014.

At the capturing they would call in VIPs and people with referrals allowing them to jump queues...I stayed from morning till 8pm to get my capturing done. To Japa from that country, you will see hell...

Immigrations office Ilorin, Lagos airport international wing, federal ministry of education and federal ministry of foreign affairs, na God go punish all the corrupt officials there. Nigeria is ruined.

I bet you can't spend anything less than 60k for a regular passport right now.

You're part of the problem. Paying 95k for a 25k passport and hoping to by pass the legitimate process

Nigerian civil servant are the worst corrupt, fantastically corrupt institution. I did mine with 80k for a regular passport. The story is the same from passport office to NIMC to licensing office. Whatever you want to do in any govt institution in Nigeria, the story is the same.

---Yet some of the corrupt and inefficient civil servants will attend their religious houses on fridays and sundays to pray and continue with their shenanigans during the week---

I made inquiries the first day and on the 2nd day I was captured though we stayed so late. Network was out for over 2 hours in the afternoon.

I only spent the official prize and the passport was ready within 5 weeks

Did my passport for 25k or so in Katsina 2015, collected it that same day.

With all this lamentations, I might travel to the core North West to renew my passport when time reach...

Anything Nigeria, zero your mind. They charged me 100k for express and it was supposed to be a 2 day thing, but I spent 2 to 3 weeks. With all expenses, I wasted more than 100k for a 10 year passport here in PH.

Corruption has eaten deep into our culture. It's now normal.
Re: Corruption In The Nigerian International Passport Process (Video) by brainhgeek(m): 4:55pm On Nov 24, 2022
I spent 25k to process my passport renewal by myself. I used the Ibadan passport office. The only thing that got me pissed was that it took 5months for the passport to be produced. The same passport that the lie-manufacturing minister of interior promised it would take 6weeks.
I did my first passport and got it same day, heaven did not fall that year, this one came and gave one idiotic reason why passports should not be made in a day. Ok, give it to us in the 6weeks you promised without involving the super corrupt immigration officers, na lie. The greatest gift any young person in Nigeria today can give to his/her unborn or young child is to JAPA from the corntree

How would you pay 25k for "ordinary paper" and not want quick service! If banks can give you ATM cards on the spot what stops immigration from giving you passport on the spots?

I can bet the country you are don't produce passport same day.
Demand in some places is higher than others and it affects supply. They said there is backlog and you decide to bribe them for quick service. The immigration officer is corrupt and you are also corrupt. Some things are common sense. Everything is not politics.
On the day of capturing, we opened file and captured same day. I will wait for 6 weeks and if I don't get it, then and only then will I complain.

Is it wrong for nigeria to want quick service?

What is the cause of the slow process, is it not the work of FG to resolve it

Is passport food, if you given today you won't near their office for the next 4yrs

Except you are an apc who's always looking for how to put the blame on people for their inefficiency

Your friend get solid leg for immigration. That’s the only reason. Aside from that, e go dey queue for six months. They will tell you that booklets for 32 pages are not ready; they are just treating those of March. Then they will ask you to get 64 pages @70k, five years. After payment, story follow. The next story, “shifted to say we know, you for kuku pay for 10 years at once”. That “we makes it shared responsibility. Dem lie no be here. At king last na wait you go wait oo.

Na your link no sure. Got families that captured around October ending and they've gotten their passport. Did mine on the 17 of this month and should be out within 3weeks. Cost is 70k sha

I'm surprised NTA can dish out this quality documentary... If they continue like this people will start watching them again

I looked for this comment on the front page and didn't find any. I'm surprised NTA could do something like this. They've allowed themselves to be used as government propaganda machine for so long that people don't trust them anymore. Everyone assumes they're the government's mouthpiece and takes their news with a pinch of salt. If they're going to regain public confidence, this is the way to go.

These immigration personnel are the most corrupt set of people on planet earth.

If I tell you guys how much I spent to renew my passport for a 5 year validity you guys will be shocked. I just paid them because I was in a hurry and needed the passport ready in less than 3 weeks. Terrible people.

I respectfully disagree. No one beats those ppl at the NNPC with their fancy derivative accounting and non-functioning refineries . Not even PMB could figure out how to fix it in almost 8 years at the helm.

I'm expecting the passport by Feb next year, cos she told me FAST-TRACKING is ban for now.

She told me it took just 2weeks but now,no more fast tracking.... If you pay for fast tracking na after 4months you go see your passport.... Things have change ooooo
