Just ask him where his kids are schooling first

Nonsense
I think he did not say anything out of order to warrant insults. Truly, some people just run to abroad without any plan whatsoever, mostly with dubious agents pushing them. Yes, his kids may be schooling there but that is exactly what he is saying. They are there for a purpose well planned. Anyone is free to do so as long as you have a plan and purpose.

Let the unpatriotic ones leave the country please

If Dem remain,na to use bad belle spoil things more

The country is better off without them

All your presidential aspirants have lived in diaspora before and some are still currently living, does it mean you may be voting unpatriotic Nigerian as the next president?

Some of these unpatriotic Nigerians you referred to contribute more to our economy than those patriotic ones who live in it currently.

Just look at the billions in diaspora remittance for the this year you would have a little glimpse.

The FDI these folks attract to the country is huge and helps in keeping this nation going.

Your assertion is highly flawed .

You guys' default reaction to everything is insult. He clearly said it's a good idea to go if you've got admission to study over there. He only cautioned those moving without any plan or through illegal channels. And he's right. Most of them end up living from hand to mouth out there or even constituting nuisance in the host community. They waste 10 to 15 years and still return to Nigeria without nothing but hatred for the West.

Japa is stupidity. You have to be a dumb person to live this great country to Canada or America. America and Canada are failed nations. Nigerians in diasporans should be held responsible responsible not painting the true picture of living in Canada. Tell Americans to pay fully for their houses and 99.9% of them will be homeless and sleeping on the street this very minute. Tell them to pay cash for their cars and 90% of them will start trekking. This brainwashing madness of Japa need to stop. Japa is the beginning of your failure

naija man - life is not always about cash cash cash but comfortable living - easy access to basic necessities and knowing that u can get justice as an ordinary man if not 100% of the time but at least 75% of the time

if anything we learnt during the pandemic

we saw Nigerian politicians, leaders and even traditional rulers so called royal fathers hoarding palliatives meant for the people to survive on during the lockdown and many useless politicians started making excuses that they wanted to share it during their birthday as if birthday is the reason these palliatives were issued

that doesn’t happen in the western world- citizens and residents where paid to stay at home during the pandemic - just to be able to feed and take care of their basic needs…

a country where even if u are poor and jobless and without medical insurance, when a medical situation arises, no hospital will deny u treatment - yea they may put that as a debt on your credit report but by law they will have to save your life first before talking about the bills

will u get that same privilege in Nigeria? where outrageous deposits are demanded before the doctor lifts a finger to treat you ? and even treatment is substandard as due to brain drain and lack of facilities and modernized equipments

so everything is not just about cash cash my brother - quality of life matters

The older generation should be thankful for the Nigeria they had back then.. free education up till tertiary level, available jobs for graduates with car and driver, affordable air tickets to and from abroad, favorable investment climate etc.
Nothing works anymore and most youths plan to survive. Let our leaders think and act right and see if people won't relocate back home.
