Car Battery Theft: Is There A Lasting Solution? by Timagex(m): 8:47am On Nov 26, 2022
Good morning everyone.

I live in a house with a big compound. Recently, some car dealers somehow had a deal/agreement/permission to be parking their cars in our compound. They take the cars out in the morning to their car stands and return them in the evening. This has been going on for weeks without any hassle.

This morning, we all woke up to discover that, some men of the underworld raided last night and removed the batteries of all the cars in the compound. We are talking about nearly 10 cars o. The tenants who have cars were also affected. They even had access to a particular Honda's interior. It was such a mess!

Here are my questions:
1. Apart from normal locking of cars, what other ways can be used to safeguard car batteries?

2. I heard some car keys can open other similar cars! grin How can car owners prevent such?

3. All of the cars in the compound are Japanese. When I want to buy my own car, can I look towards the German cars? I heard they have better security. How true is this?

Thank you.

Construct a battery cage.
True

But this your own cage get as e be o.. The way that thing is constructed, it can cause a metal breach between the positive and negative battery terminals, which can lead to frying of the car's electricals or even a fire..

A more carefully built cage like this, with the cage metal strips far away from the battery terminals, is perfect

I did my battery cage exactly like this. It was almost a dream seeing my bonnet slight opened, I was like I did not engage any mechanic, fast forward the battery was gone.
I carried my new battery out everyday until I got a lasting Solution with the battery cage.

In fact my car battery is in my sitting room as we speak, only fix it when going out with the car till I find time to construct a guard like the latter. It is becoming a menace!

At my former place of work,a car dealer negotiated with the hotel manager to be parking his car at the fence of the hotel. The hotel contracted policemen to be guarding the hotel.
At midnight,a thief gained access through one of the tokumbo cars parked at the hotel fence and removed the gearbox.
According to a cab driver who saw them inside his car he slept in that night,he was calling the mopol's number who was on duty that night because he said he saw the thief with a pistol.Unfortunatately the mopol couldn't answer his phone call.
It seemed to be a planned job because the mopol also slept in his own car parked outside too.

Hello guys so i need your opinion on a matter
My uncle sells german cars at beggar lagos but the issue is that people dont seem to like german cars as they prefer the flashy American ones
He has been adviced to switch over to other cars from other countries but he refused saying german cars are stronger and better
So whats your say on this
Is there a group of people who prefer german cars you can direct to him
cos I'm not happy with his business progress
So whats your thoughts guys

Construct a battery cage.

This will eventually burn the car the day positive and negative of batteries come in contact.
