Your supposed to get your decision atleast a day or two after getting your correspondence letter or even same day.
Raise a web webform telling them it's been two weeks you got your correspondence letter but your yet to get a decision.

Keep firing webforms once every day and fire 2 messages or more atleast daily and put very urgent as subject in your mails.

Order your GCM note to trigger a look at your application.

I also believe as the MP inquired about your application, this may trigger attention to your application again to be processed speedily and favourably.

If your a Christian or Muslim pray very well about it.

And create other options like a plan B or C.
If you really want to Japa, I always advise people to have atleast another country as backup plan e.g Apply to Canada and Australia at same time for similar program Incase one fails or better still apply to 3 countries and it will be almost impossible for all 3 to fail unless your village people are really after you.
Good luck and keep believing
You are right, eligibility just started this morning after loads of emails and web forms

Yes that is my concern too.

Her tuition is around 15k plus annually for 2years.

She deposited 10k and gave statement of 11m.

This is the main reason , that's why the VO said that she needs work to support the payment for studies , the problem now is cash if the total school of 15k can be paid with 11m or money as closing bal this situation will come out as approved.
All the best as you plan on next cash moves

Hello all. Please I have very urgent concern I will appreciate input of gurus in the house.

First of all I received 2-years msc admission to start in January and it came with funding. However I was refused based on insufficient funds.
My previous application, I used my brother as my sponsor and his closing balance was 6M.
...
I think the VOs concern was that this money was not in my account, and since it’s in my brother’s account, it means my brother may also have need for the money and so I can’t really claim it’s mine.
...

I want to reapply and this time my brother wants to transfer the money to my account so I can add it with the funding I got from my school to serve as proof of funds.

My concern right now is on the issue of lump sums and hence my questions below:

1. If my brother sends the money to me, how can I navigate around the problem of lump sum? What is the best way to explain this,

2. However, my brother intends to do a gift deed, does a gift deed answer to my concern in question 1? If yes, how and where can I prepare a gift deed and what is the estimated cost. Also can someone show me a sample of a gift deed?

...
please my people help a brother. I really look forward to input by the gurus.

Thanks

PPR Alert!

2nd time applicant.

1st application was denied based on financial assets. I was very disappointed as I thought my profile and financial history was good enough to get PPR.

My guru @Makano advised we order for GCMS and quickly re-fire. So we ordered for the notes, it came back and we gathered that the VO had issues with lump sum on my account statements.

So we quickly adjusted my SOP and provided explanations plus verifiable receipts for the lump sum, and reapplied again.

As God may have it, application was approved.

My Timeline;
Sep 18th - Application submitted (Biometrics was done on the 22nd of April, 2022 so it updated)
Nov 15th- Eligibility Review
Nov 16th- Medical updated to passed (I did upfront medicals on the 21st of April, 2022)
Nov 16th- PPR

I attached below documents

• Letter of Acceptance.
• Academic and Professional certificates.
• Academic Transcript.
• NYSC certificate.
• Birth Certificate
• Police clearance certificate
• Bio-data page of International Passport
• Drivers' license.
• NIN slip.
• Updated CV
• Staff ID Card.
• Letter of Introduction from my employer.
• Promotion letter.
• Pay slip

CLIENT INFORMATION
• Land Documents (Receipts, Sales Contract, Deed of Assignment, Survey plan)
• Particulars for 2 cars.
• Siblings Birth Certificate and Photos
• CAC document for registered company.

PROOF OF MEANS OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT
• SOP (6 pages).
• Statement of account (Individual and Company) above 20m.
• Salary account Statement.
• Documents showing business presence in Nigeria.

Big shout to all the guys doing great work out here and special shout out to @makano for being my guide all through the rainy days. And of course to the hopefuls, y'all will share your own good news on this very thread.

Remain blessed!

Hello everyone how you’ll doing so I just submitted an application to study in Canada two weeks ago and yesterday I went for biometrics . I just checked my portal and saw we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirement . Does that mean my eligibility is on already? And also is it okay to do my medicals next week and submit as well?

Hello Checchem

You can use any of the portals..

If you plan to submit bulky documents, go with the GCKEY portal (4mb).
If you have fewer documents to submit, go with the new portal (2mb).

Hello Enddy

The bolded is the funniest thing I have read today, is the agent a Visa officer who is sure of getting the Visa?

Run from such a person, 1M for what?

No one can guarantee you Visa except God and Visa officers (that is if you meet the Eligibility though)..

Even when peeps come to meet me and say Makano we have seen you have given people Visas, I immediately correct them that I am not a Visa officer that gives Visas, I only have a very wide knowledge of the Canada Study and spousal permit applications and God has been favoring such applications..

So do not fall into the wrong hands, no one can assure you of Visa not even a Guru..

Despite my very high rate of approvals here on nairaland and outside nairaland, I still get refusals for some applications I handle, but later get the Visa when I re-apply for such applications.. No guru here or the so-called agents can tell me he/ she has 100% approval, don't be deceived..

Peace

Enddystar:
A friend just received this hot breakfast today.

She submitted her application by herself and now regretting why she didn't opt in for an agent.

She said she called an agent afterwards who told her to pay N1m to help her get approval.

Dear house, kindly advise

Do not waste your time using this factor to determine if you will be approved or denied...

As we all know, IRCC can not be predicted.

Personally, I have seen applications of 14 months (1 year and 2 months) that ended up getting refused. And some applications that got approval in weeks, and vice versa..

Just make sure you put in the best application you can, and back it up with prayers..

Please my sister has her visa in her passport but I read on IRCC portal that you need something called letter of introduction which is approving your study permit. She doesn’t see this on her IRCC messages. The last message is the passport request. We have send webform and emails to Nairobi but no response. My question is can she travel without this letter? Some people say some border officers do not even check this but I don’t really know. Her flight date is fast approaching. Please anyone with this kind of experience can share as this is creating a lot of anxiety. Thanks

Hello Aolelere

Immediately after an applicant's passport is stamped with the Visa, IRCC sends the Letter of Introduction to the IRCC portal of the applicant.

So she should check her Portal, it should be there.. It's named Correspondence Letter in your portal, when you open the document you will see it's a Letter of Introduction.

And Yes, sometimes Immigration officers do not ask for it POE. But I will advise you not to take chances cos you may be asked..

landing gist!!!
Hey guys,
So my parents, sibling and cousins all followed me to the airport. The drive to the airport was hectic, my flight was actually on Monday and as y’all know Mondays traffic are quite heavy in Lagos. I went with Ethiopian airline and the flight was scheduled to depart by 1 pm but classic Nigerian time we didn’t depart until about 3pm which in turn affected me at Addis Ababa, but I’ll get back to that later in the gist.We left home around 8 am and got to the airport at about 9:30.

There were a total of 6 People with me so we had to bribe with about 3k for all of us to enter. We got to the check-in queue for Ethiopian Airlines which was a bit long but i was finally attended to, pro tip: make sure you weigh your baggage before leaving home to save yourself from headaches and also in as much as you won’t need a power bank in Canada I’d say you should keep one with you cause it might come in handy at the airport. So my bags were finally weighed and I had an extra baggage of which I was supposed to pay 106k but I eventually paid a total of 60k because my uncle was able to speak to the guy at the counter and within 30 minutes I was done.

Saying goodbye to my family at the immigration was the actually the hardest part of the trip because non travelers were not allowed beyond that point. we all cried and said our goodbyes. I manned up and swallowed my tears while reminding myself I’ll see them pretty soon.

As I had said at the beginning of the story, My departure time was 1pm but we didn’t start boarding till around 2:40 and by 3:00pm we had taken off. This was actually my first time traveling by plane so I was very nervous but then I met a very nice lady who was heading to Malawi turns out she came to study in Nigeria UI to be precise and in my mind I was like who leaves their coin to come study in Nigeria lol. We arrived Addis Ababa by 11pm of which we were supposed to land by 9pm and have a layover of 2 hours before boarding the flight to Toronto but due to the delay in Lagos there was no layover, so it was off the flight from Lagos, down to the flight to Toronto.
Finding the boarding gate wasn't hard, but there were a lot of stops before getting to the boarding gate, like I had to pull off my shoe, open my carry-on like 3 times.
The second leg of the trip was longer like 13 hours or so but I entertained myself with some movies. for me I don’t know about others but the food on the plane was wack I was lucky enough to had snuck in pieces of meat onto the flight, this was what sustained me till we finally arrived safely on Tuesday morning 7:45am Toronto time everyone clapped for the pilot because there was a lot of turbulence of which I though was gonna die lol.
As soon as I came down from the flight I followed the signs and quickly rushed down to arrivals, I already did the arrivecan stuff online before leaving Nigeria but the self decoration machine wasn’t acknowledging my passport so I just had to proceed to one of the officials at the counter and she filled a new declaration form for me. Please obey all the instructions you’re given and kindly ask questions on things you don’t understand.
It was my turn to be attended to, the officer was actual looking beautiful so I told her then she smiled she then proceeds to ask for my international passport, my tuition receipt and she printed out my permit, stamped it and handed it over to me then she wished me goodluck, pro tip: try complimenting the officer it really makes the officer feel more comfortable with you.My cousin was already waiting for me at the arrivals and we were able to get a SIM card for me.

Thank you so much to everyone who had contributed to my journey by relentlessly answering my questions.
I’ll be resuming at centennial college this coming January and also it’s cold in Canada oooo make sure you are prepared.
