Former governor is a Muslim, current governor is a full Christian, but his father was a Muslim but his Mother Christian. His dad allowed them to follow whichever religion they want and most of them chose their mothers religion.

When a child is born here different people give the child names including the father, the mother and even the grand parents.

Isiaka is the elder brother of the current governor and I cannot actually remember if he was Christian or Muslim. But what I know is that their mother was an Igbo lady from Enugu State and a Christian.

See this one. Does he have legal advisers? The change of name passed through a process at the state house of Assembly before it got changed so he cannot unilaterally change it like that. Moreso there is a pending matter in court as a person challenged the change of name and I think he won at the court of first instance and there is an Appeal. So the Governor lacks the power to unilaterally reverse the name but am sure the court will do that. I hope this man is not dull oooooo.

The ministry of justice Osun state is handling it. It is since 2017 so he has to know but even if he doesn't, he ought not to have made such pronouncement publicly when he has not fully resumed office.

Although an appeal was filled at Akure Court of Appeal in 2018, d outcome of the appeal was not publicised. However, there's another rulling by Justice Mathias Agboola of Osun State High Court Osogbo on the same issue, declaring State of Osun as Illegal, which is a reference that the state government lost d Akure appeal of 2018.

So, the new governor is only upholding the law by doing what the court rules upon but not enforced by the past government.

I don't think the court of appeal has determined the matter. It is still pending before the Appellate court. The only thing the Governor can do is to withdraw the Appeal filed so that the judgment of high court can stand and not to make such pronouncements.

. You can't exercise that power when the matter is subject of litigation before the court. All he needs to do is to withdraw the Appeal filed by Osun government.
