Congratulations. That was a lot of questions but glad you confidently answered them all.

Please I would like to know, what do you mean by someone was denied due to error of signature and money sent to fiancee? Can you please be a lil more specific
Ok……you know there are options on who can fill out and sign the affidavit of support on the last part of the form part 6 i.e the beneficiary or petitioner and you also have the options of interpreter or preparer so the consular asked him who filled out the form, he claimed the form was filled and sent to him by his fiancé but consular showed him that the signature was signed on the wrong space or line if truly it was from the petitioner and asked him to say the truth if it was truly the fiancé that signed it.

Secondly, from their petition the consular asked him that the fiancé claimed he has sent her a certain amount of money before but when he was asked he answered NO so the guy was really confused, the consul was even nice and gave him second chance to open up and he even stated the amount his fiancé claimed he sent to her but the guy insisted he did not send her that kind of money.
So he was denied, it was painful coz the guy was doing well with the questions before things gets tough.
We should be spending time to study all the paperwork and information in our applications well before interview abeg and know your fiancé well I mean so well coz if you do, the interview will be very easy and smooth.

Good evening all,
I picked up my passport with my visa this morning my interview was November 10th, see below how it went:

I was interviewed by the same black male consular that was asking a lot of questions that looks like drilling, I was saying to myself that I don’t wish to be called by him though but after all questions and verification he approved me.

Questions:
1. Have you ever lived in another country for more than six months?
2. Have you committed a crime before?
3. Who’s your petitioner?
4. How many times has she visited?
5. How do you meet her ?
6. When I said Facebook he asked me how I found her, was I just searching for people on Facebook? I said Fb brought her page for me as ppl you may know then he started questioning about mutual friend and I was able to scale through.
7. Tell me about your fiancé ?
8. Then he paused me and started questioning about her kids.
9. What does she do ?
10. What do you do ?
11. Where do you work ?
12. Have you given her money before? Like financial support? Thank God that there was a time I supported her with a token through cash app so I printed the receipt with me and I was able to tell him with confidence that yes I have helped her before and I have the prove here with me, though he did not ask for prove.
13. Is that the only time you helped her ? I said and many other time that she visited I took her out and pay the bills.
14. He took my attestation of birth and show me an error that could have caused a problem, on attestation my mother’s first name is Taiwo and on petition it is Taiye but I had to keep telling him that they are both the same name and meaning in Yoruba culture but I shake small o coz the guy really worry me on that.
15. When did you both started talking?
16. Where did she stay during her visits ?

Lastly, he asked for divorce decree and he then said congratulations.

A lot of people were approved that day but only two people that I know of got denied because of just a little error, one was error of signature and money sent to his fiancé and the other is irregular answers or not sure.
Prepare well and early enough, those guys are ready to approve as well as ready to deny.
Good luck to everyone waiting for interview.
congratulations

Yes. You will need the police report of where you’ve lived for more than 6months since you turn 16years old.
That means, If you’ve lived in South Africa for at least 6months since you clocked 16years old, then you will need the police report.

Most countries offer the option of applying for it online. I did a quick google search and I think Dubai offer the option of applying online also but based on the current relationship between the Nigeria and Dubai like you mentioned, I’m not sure if it will affect the process but you can try to find out and probably send them an email.

You can check the link below

Currently, it takes about 15months (according to the official website) and can be more. The time taken differs from case to case. You can check through the website below for a better understanding

Thanks very much man, but don't you think the K1 is taking as long as the Spousal visa to get process? Spousal visa takes about two years right, currently it seems like K1 is taking as much as two years to be processed too. Pls correct me, if I am wrong. Just wondering

No matter how long the K1 is taking now, it is still faster than spousal petition.
Uscis processing takes between 10 to 16 months to process spousal, the 10 is not guaranteed though and I saw people that have been waiting over 12 months to be scheduled for an interview at the embassy after they’re nvc DQ qualified.
Imagine as of august this year consulate schedule interview for September for people who are DQ in April 2021 that’s about 17 months wait because of backlog.
Normally, every couple has their own priority so you should decide which one is best for you regardless how long it will take.
