One of the things I have realized about scamming is that sooner or later, scammers will get caught, doesn't matter if you make yours open or disguised.

Juxtaposing the case of Hushpuppi vs Invictus Obi shows clearly that it's only a matter of time.

There are digital footprints online and if the authorities care to look enough, no scammer is immune to being caught. Forget about IP changing, forget about using aliases, forget about using decoy accounts, no transaction is fully untraceable.

I wish our youths can up their skills and start competing for remote digital jobs instead of all these. It is well with Nigeria.

True.

No perfect crime.

The only perfect crime is the one you alone is the witness and committed in your own space otherwise you will leave prints here and there.

If the Authority concern are serious, those prints can be found.

Over 200 Million down the drain!

That's why none of these Yahoo boys will ever amount to anything. Not one of them.

If he had even built shops and leased them out, it would have made more sense!

But no, their brains just can't conceive of anything meaningful beyond spending prodigiously...!

No wonder it is said that wealth is not for dullards!

If you know how much a tracker gets to successfully track a fraudster, you'll realise that VPN and all those gibberish you use to cloud your identity aren't worthwhile.

shocked
There is one in a street closer to mine here who just entered the university last year. Not sure if he is up to 20. Instantly he began to leave a lavish lifestyle.

Built a house under 2 months, furnished and call for opening party and riding a car worth 6m naira.

The worst part of it is that the parents are in full support of this.

Almost all the youth now think of yahoo and ritualism

What state?

Scam is as old as time. It's a global business and illegal in nature. FTX founder is scammer yet walks free. That is scam. XRP is scam. Binance is scam. Bitcoin is scam. Ethereum is scam. All these ledgers are not backed by anything.

Even currency is scam. It's legal to scam community but illegal to scam individuals. Double standards. The planet is a scam. Thou shall not get scammed on yours.

Why is it legal to scam Africans via clever crypto deals but illegal deals and unfair trades and illegal mining yet unfair for Africans to scam oyibos.

Scam them all and send me my share.

All of you that glorify fraud, a day is coming when you will be informed of what you used to do. That day is not on this earth. You'll bite your fingers and say had you known you won't have associated with them as friends or indulge yourself

The way I see youth glorify fraud ( Stealing from others) is alarming. They give several excuses for doing this, and I told them if their mother had used alternative excuses to abort their pregnancy, will they be alive.

Evil will always have excuses to hide under. Many who laud them and support this evil will not there when the judgement descends.

Now there's a difference between an outright scam such as dating scam, email compromise, cheque scams etc. and financial schemes like MMM, Crypto, etc.

For the outright scams, the court can easily establish that you had intention to steal money from someone all along, whereas for the financial scheme, as long as people benefitted from it, it's just a business gone bad.

So maybe if you hope to scam people in such a way, you can sit down and do the brainwork and come up with something mind-blowing. Who knows, you too could cash out like the FTX ceo.

We have both agreed that all the mentioned are scam one way or the other. That is the point.

Please life is too shot to live average. Even pastors are Scammers. Choose your scam and don't judge others.

In Nigeria maybe, but not the US Federal justice system, regulated under 18 U.S.C. § 3624(b).

Here, a prisoner can be relieved of up to 54 days at the end of each year of the prisoner’s term of imprisonment, beginning at the end of the first year of the term, subject to determination by the Bureau of Prisons that, during that year, the prisoner has displayed exemplary compliance with institutional disciplinary regulations.

So, a 366 day sentence should be 319 days of normal days, and 47 days of good days. Use this formula to calculate when you will see hush as a free man again.

issue is, most are not smart. if they were smart just a little more, it would be next to impossible to getting caught.

One of the steps to even being smart especially as a scammer/hacker, is keeping low profile. and thinking more than twice before doing most things.
