Do you want to be begging in the streets after your career end and say yeah back in the day i won afcon !

Why are they playing so hard if it’s not for their personal stock and value ??

No sell your market first time go pass you by.

This Moroccan team has gotten more exposure than our 2018 super Eagles ever did.

When last did we talk about amrabat here ??

If we’re talking about him now imagine what other scouts are doing right now

So no fool yourself perform on the big stage and your stock will skyrocket.

No be to beat people 10-0 with nothing further to show for it.

One fool here say in a World Cup scenario Nigeria wouldn’t lose to Portugal lol
It's not just one fool

They are actually many fools

A lot of them

We are talking of Spain here. They have won a lot and lost by penalties. Spain will be alright.

By the way, Spain put 7 past Costa Rica.
And are second round exits

the world cup is the pinnacle of football in the world . Of course you would get more recognition playing in the world cup than afcon or any other continental tournament infact. But then a wc quarterfinal place is not that high in prestige that would warrant a trade off with an afcon trophy.
Go and check richarlison followers after he scored that sensational goal in the World Cup.

From 7mil to 14 and still growing same thing with hakimi and almost everybody else.

Same richarlison played in copa final nobody bats an eye but in World Cup you can the reviews and everything.

So you’re telling me that you pick afcon ? Over a World Cup semi final you must be delusional

Oh yes with the maestro Nwakali and a limited ball passer DM in Ndidi.

We can be pessimistic and even optimistic but let's leave emotions and be REALISTIC.
Ha bros

They are very sentimental and emotional on thsi thread

None of our midfielders is completely creative. Not even Nwakali. Yes I said it

Kanu and okocha has been retired for over a decade now we still call them golden generation to tell you how hard we’ve fall and our backwards our mentality is

Spain lost by penalties. It is like a toss of the coin. They played well and lost. They will try again. What matters is that they will keep pushing. They have won the Euros twice and the World Cup not too long ago. They left the Euros in the Semis. It is still a young growing side. So leaving second round is not the end of the world.

Leaving France 98 in the first round did not stop them from winning the World Cup in the future.

Finito.

Very backwards

Very

Over 5 years since carl ikeme and we haven't even got 1 solid GK not to talk of 3

Over 10 years since Okocha and Kanu yet can't boast of 1 complete creative midfielder

Over 13 yrs since Finidi and we can't get a solid winger with solid end-product

Let one CHuks score 1 goal in 15 games and watch how this thread will go bunkers

We like to celebrate mediocrity

Spain can take the ball home.

Morroco has done the needful...

Call me.when Morocco wins the World Cup. Remember, Enrique won the Champions League in Grand style.

We have been here before. This was how people used to mock Guardiola.

Barca problem fit be money

They may not be as financially buoyant as fans think

But then again, they may be too sentimental and prefer their academy boys of 1000 passes and no end product grin grin grin

Sometimes, I wonder if I will ever see the Super Eagles get to the Semi-final of the WC in 90 yrs time

Because, as I said, our problems are deeply rooted and will take decades to fix.

We should stop comparing ourselves with morocco

The truth is the average Nigerian Football official/player/ref is very greedy and is concerned about what he will eat now than what the generations to come will benefit from

From our lower division leagues to the premier leagues to the NFF to the sports ministry, the root of corruption ha spread its roots all over

Where do we start from?

Even our own billionaires don't want to buy our sports teams because of the mess that is our league. \the rot and corruption stinks and makes even Lucifer himself shudder

Nigeria has a long way to go

We appoint politicians into sensitive sports positions and expect complete turnaround

Even our ex-internationals that should help us salvage our remaining dignity sportswise are busy advertising sports bet. How many of them can show you a UEFA coaching license..even if it's the least one? This shows you that the average black man na for himslef alone. Our ex-internationals are hardly interested in moving our football forward. The ones interested like amuneke, Finidi, Olofinjana won't be given the chance; they will be owed salaries till the second coming of Christ

E be like say Naija dey under one Old mama curse...abi no be so?

Just look at South African sporting facilities

Not just football sporting facilities in cricket, rugby you name it.

What year would Nigeria win a bid for fifa World Cup and with what facilities?

Only thing we’re good for is winning Paralympics (no offense) cheesy grin

Or claiming an already established athlete to a Nigerian decent.

that comment is true tell me if teams won’t be lining up to sign him from his current team.

If he put this same effort against Kenya

Nobody will even bat an eye self.

And someone here is telling me winning afcon is better than semi final at the World Cup
