Jonathan crossed from Civil service to Politics and he knows what he is saying

Solutions

1:Contributory Pension Scheme handled by top Fund Managers

2: Mortgage loan of atleast 15years immediately after recruitment, so that a civil servants doesn't have to spend on house rent and still pay huge some to build house

3: Car Loan for a locally assembled Peugeot, Kia, Nissan or other durable brand with atleast 5 years repayment plan upon appointment

.
I really admire your model

OGA, WHAT DID YOU DO AS A PRESIDENT TO CORRECT THAT ??

IF YOU COULD NOT SOLVE THAT PROBLEM AS A PRESIDENT, THEN FOREVER KEEP SILENT ABOUT IT.

HENCE FORTH, KEEP SILENT ABOUT ANYTHING YOU COULD NOT DO WHEN GOD GAVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY ON A PLATTER OF GOLD.

LEADERSHIP IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE FOR EVERYBODY.

But he also had opportunities to rectify such deficiencies in the Civil service, but did not.

As a civil servant in Nigeria, you're totally OYO if you refuse to plan yourself for retirement.

It is the mindset of these civil servants. Many live for today, lazy and unproductive. You work or don't work, salary would still be paid. Do that for 30 years and see if you can hold a real job.

100% accurate assessment.

This is an opportunity for the private sector to offer retirement products to this critical segment of society. Not only are you helping the Civil servants, but you would also be helping correct the real source of cooruption.

The genesis of corruption in the country is the civil servant coz most times they are the ones graduating to become a politician after they have accumulated corrupt money to buy forms and spend on elections.

It actually africa stupid mentality but is very worse in Nigeria.

ASIWAJU IS HERE TO TAKE THE BULL BY ON HORN.

GOD BLESS THE INCOMING PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU.
We don't need Asiwaju, Kemi Adeosun the greatest forger of certificate was his right hand lady, and besides Buhari has taken care of curruption , what we need is a person that will cut excesses in governance and not someone that will use our money to treat dementia and parkinson's disease.

You are a politician same as I am, you are the government same as I am, stop mistaken Politicians as alien

Nigeria GDP can only support the Minimum wages we earn, even private business and some state government are not productive to pay that

Because of revenue leakages, wastages, and corruption. Politicians know themselves.

Very true!
Absolute integrity is a big ask from a person who put 35 years (or more) of their life into serving an employer (government in this case) without being able to run a proper business while at it, only to end up with peanut as gratuities and pension.

We're breeding a system that inspires corrupt practices.

Life Pension is not sustainable in this present generation anywhere in the world.
Do you know how many millions of civil servants and government employees we have ? Both active and retired?
Do you know how much government will be paying on monthly basis for retirees? Do we even have the cash flow to maintain it?
The first problem I see is that the country’s population is toooooooo much.

we leaders who are good in dissecting the problems but can't proffer solutions while in office. something demonic is definitely wrong with Nigeria cos after leaving the office every useless leaders seems to understand the perfect issues stopping growth and aiding corruption whereas shows little or no concern when in office. pathetic!

of course everyone knows the civil servants are the most corrupt in Nigeria. out of fear I suppose, they try to 'secure' a future that looks deem in care of useless politicians. to stop corruption is very easy. efcc won't stop it. all it takes is people having rest of mind their lives and future is good......

Lack of planning in service is killing civil servants .they enjoy during service but forget to plan for retirement.

Not always true.

When "take home' cannot really take someone home, how can the person for investment?

Even a clerk with access to public funds may be looting whereas Directors and Deputy-Directors without access to free public funds are only dependent on salary.

It all depends.

if civil servants are not allowed to owned businesses how then do you deal with the high unemployment rates, housing and accomodations shortages and the lack of quality education. that is practicing socialism in a free capitalist and communist economy.
