I don't know about other states but for Lagos and Ogun state whenever you see the scorpion insignia in front of the house (the vent slightly below the roof) my brother RUN oooo....

To the normal eyes it's just a decorative brick but when you look closely you will see it's actually a scorpion shaped brick. I mean who in his/her right senses live where scorpions hangout

Lol, and I thought I was the only who has had a very terrible experience in bad houses... I mean, all through my years on earth I have only seen scorpions in text books and drawings before renting the house but then I got stung like 3 times in just a year of living there

When moving into a an apartment look into the followings

1.Ask people around how good the apartment is

2.Avoid compound where someone is being buried

3.If you find anything strange in the apartment it's a red flag

I can boldly tell you that 60% of houses in Lagos are not too good for someone to live in,talking from experience this landlords do the unthinkable.

I don't know about other places but you see that lagos e no easy na to get strong mind.

I rented an apartment at Ikorodu sometime ago, the caretaker had a disagreement with the landlady, the caretaker because of that told me the lady buried charms in the compound. Didn't bother me to be honest cos I have this believe it won't affect me in anyway. I cashed out steady before living the house for mine. It depends on your mindset.

It's good to know the kind of house one is renting to avoid stories that touch.

I was in one then, my fellow Nairalanders, I saw hell on earth. It took God's grace for me. However, God showed me favour when the Landlord gave everyone a quit notice. At first, I thought it was disaster because no money to even rent talk less of moving out. However, a huge sum dropped the moment i just packed my things on that morning, and the moment I left there, and rented another new apartment, a big breakthrough came.

Within a year, a lot has been achieved. Truly, some houses are perdition.

Guys, be very careful before you move into any house, especially if you have kids!
Make sure to ask neutral neighbors about the story of the house.
I once moved into a house like that... So much cobweb and some rooms where left empty.

In the course of carrying out environmental sanitation, I discovered this greasy and lumpy dark sand in one of the empty rooms. My curiosity was heightened as I started digging... it was around four feet deep. I brought it all out and left it in the open.
From that day, I noticed people started calling me Pastor and one of my neighbors make a reference that I should be called Gibeon!
Turn out that room was a shrine and the lumpy sand was palm oil pour as libation on the Ogun idol!

I have stayed in a compound in PH Psychiatric road, omo no man give the wife belle for the compound, all kids dere were born b4 dey packed in d compound, even my street u cant get a work and work for 6 month you be fired.
I lost jobs tire for that street till I packed out

Presence of spiders actually depends on the part of nigeria that you live in o. If you have actually stayed in the North, places like abuja, niger, kano, and kaduna. Spiders and cobwebs nah normal thing. Especially if you house get barb wires, mango trees etc. Intact spiders way dey south can't compete with the ones in the North in terms of size. The spiders you find in the North are like mini crabs and they look similar to scorpions.

My advice for everyone moving to a new house is to go there and pray before packing g you things in. If you are a Christian you can bless the place with water, anointing oil, or sand from your church. You can pack sand from your church and pour it into the environment to neutralise every. Evil thing in that place.

You can also put garlic by your windows and inside the manhole ( celling). What majority don't know is that nowadays nah inside manhole, borehole, and gate entrance nah there evil landlords dey finish work.

Stayed in ijebu ode for a year plus.. E get this my neighbor,him no dey use eyes see spider. Infact I started calling him anti spider Him say spider na bad thing o.. I don't blive sha,except d thing has been possessed..

Business that was already booming gradually died, family issues amplified by 100%, already sold almost everything in the apartment (chairs, fridge, sound systems even down to kitchen equipments) just to feed.

Most times I just look up smile because I still can't believe things could get this worse all in a year and few months.

About a month ago someone I recently got close to in the area asked where I lived and I told him, he just started shaking his head then he told me a member of his church lived in the apartment last and the family also went through hell before they could get out and I hadn't even told him what I was going through yet before he told me about the apartment...

Wake up in the middle of the night and urinate in a plastic bottle, add salt to the urine and sprinkle it all over the house. If you don't see improvement come back here and insult me.

Do it for like a week. Make sure it's your early morning urine.

The place i currently stay was making lot of money at the initial stage i moved in.
But currently the money stop flowing like before being wondering what happened.
