I was there. Crazy bidding, I had to leave when people were bidding for cars that they didn't know the condition with amount they can use to get a tested ok outside if they search well enough
People that will cry after they see what they bought, are plenty.....

It was there I knew that having money does not mean someone will have sense. Money that is going to FG's pocket. That is supposed to be cheap. Awon ode.

Gazzuzz that you reached out to last month ?

Was it Gazzuzz that scanned your car in May?

Bloodly liar

Dear Nairalanders

I am officially terminating my contract with Omoapena and I will be involving my lawyer for retrieval

Reasons

He has refused to honor the contract by dropping the vehicle for monthly inspection and failing to pay me completely as the agreement states from 1ST TO 15TH AUGUST
You have money to dash lawyer bah? It will be obvious to any judge that this act isn't the reason for terminating the contract. You will eventually be made to repay his money.

Just settle this amicably and reach a deal with him. So long as he's been paying you consistently, you have no justifiable reason besides prejudice to ending a contract which binds you as well. No go dash lawyer free money coz you'll lose las las. He'll get his money back, get another hire purchase while you'll be left with a car whose value has depreciated

Well said bro.

Another alternative that can work is for the owner to forfeit payment for two weeks. If the weekly delivery is 30k, 60k will have to be removed from the total amount the driver originally agreed to pay.

Again, you have spoken well.
This is the best suggestion.

It's been resolved already. The issue wasn't just the leasing of the vehicle for two weeks just to get things clear. The business itself is very challenging for both the owner and driver,it takes a sense of understanding, empathy, honesty and professionalism to scale through at the end of it all. But I must say this will be my last HIRE PURCHASE deal.

Thanks to the mature minds here who gave valued opinions and resolutions.

One love.

If you think higher purchase is difficult, try rentals. It's worse. Driver's will try every trick in the book not to pay your money not to talk of some very heavy repairs that sometimes come up. E.g, I'm having to pay 55k to buy steering rack after repairing it twice with 12k(6k each) in two months.

The only reason I'm still in the business is because I'm yet to get an alternative I understand and with a better ROI. The day I get one, I'm done with transport business.

Glad you guys have resolved the issue.

You are right on point bro! I rented my Car out, remittance was timely but my Car suffered it, had to retrieve it from the guy (he is one of us here) when I discovered he isn't straight forward, my car was never washed once thoughtout the period it was with him, so many issues, I have moved on.

When I saw the Mercedes S class that Sunny won via his bidding and it’s condition I shook my head. That’s a Benz, and an S class for that matter. They left it to sit in dust, sun and rain and all the fluids, wires, seals and plastics must have deteriorated drastically after all those years. I’m not even speaking of its obvious upholstery or rust issues.

Anybody that finally purchased that vehicle will spend nothing less than N1.5 - 2 million to bring it back to life but it’s worth it for the ride sha. That S class is a beast of a vehicle.

Here in PH, its increasingly difficult to get a bolt car in pristine condition. The 12 hour daily driving takes its toll on cars.

I know you said so because he has been bringing it for inspection isn't, I once mentioned it to him that the car looked dirty he didn't say anything.Had a sand protector, in no time, it was nolonger there, or are you saying the driver will not know when a sand protector is about to get detached from a vehicle, like I said I have since moved on, I don't want to talk about it anylonger.

I understand what you mean.

The truth is if someone does not use his own hands to personally wash his vehicle periodically they won’t know when some certain body parts have started giving way. That’s one of the disadvantages of always patronizing car wash people or not washing the vehicle often

Even I myself that rarely go to car wash I have just lost the bottom side skirts/runners on my vehicle during this past rainy season and I didn’t even know when it fell off. I just parked, went to bed, came out the next morning and saw it was missing sad

This mobil attendants are thieves, went to price mobil oil from 2 fueling station...

Anthony Mobil fueling station price

Mobil 1000(20w-50) 5L = 12k
Mobil 2000(5w-30) 5L = 12.5k
Mobil 3000(5w-40) 5L = 16.5k

Challenge Bus stop Mobil fueling station price

Mobil 1000(20w-50) 5L = 11.5k
Mobil 2000(5w-30) 5L = 12.7k
Mobil 3000(5w-40) 5L = 14k

Imagine the much difference from both fueling stations.

Pls, among the mentioned variants of oil, which is best for someone to use, initially, i was using the 20w-50 for my corolla 2003 and it wasn't shorting oil then i said i should use 5w-30 but it started shorting oil (tho not much) and my mechanic said the reason for the oil shortening is because the 5w-30 is lighter and my car is already used to the 20w-50...

Can one give me comprehensive explanation on this reason.

Cc gazzuzz
Thanks
If you'll take my advice, go for total quartz 20w50. This engine oil cleans engine, trust me on this.

The winners in this game in the long run are the ehailing companies. . They will never buy cars.
Bolt is willing to go down to 98,99 2000 model of cars. (a lot of people are not buying cars to put on the platform like before). Presently, it makes zero business sense to invest ₦3m+ to collect 30k weekly.
Even at 30k weekly, you can't make profit in a year as an investor.

Some of the those cars have been sitting there for the past 15 years with windows open or sunroof broken and rain and sun beating the unit. Some people will be lucky though as there are still very clean ones. It's just a matter of luck. In all, thank God.
