It's wasn't paid completely cos I resumed work on the 10th.
It was during Salah of that year and things where costly.
In fact, I bought some cloths, groceries, gave some to close family members, tithe and was left with little for tfare for the next month.

The things you gave out was much, only takes the heart of a giver to do such..kudos.guess the blessings came through.

I wouldnt say its a tradition per se, but its something I watched my plder siblings,uncles and aunts did to my dad so I just had to emulate.
