Proposed New slots according to FIFA, Asia - 8 countries Africa - 9 countries North America- 6 countries South America - 6 countries Oceania- 1 Country Europe - 16 countries Making it a total of 46 counties. 2 slots remaining 1 for Africa because Morocco have reached the semi-finals. 1 for play-offs. Therefore , Asia 8+Africa( 9+1) + North America 6 + South America 6+ Ocenia 1 + Europe 16+ playoffs 1 will make it 48 countries. Aw true is dis? |

elyte89:Not true. There are 2 playoff slots with every continent vying for one of the 2 except Europe. This was what was ratified by FIFA at the last council. An extra slot for Africa means FIFA will have to reduce a slot from one of the qualifying continents. |

Our rotten system is making it hard for us to secure good foreign born players. Moroccan and Algerian national team don't find it too difficult to secure the services of their foreign born players |

This is the question komekn always avoids answering. If it was the Portuguese mafia that chased him away from Wolves how come Dominic hasn't gotten any reasonable offer from any top club? Abi the mafia blocked other top clubs from using him? Danielnino00: |

Interesting opinion from the man who was born offside, one of the finest Strikers of his generation, Filippo Inzaghi ________________________________________________________ Osimhen is the best right now beyond Ballon d'Or winner Benzema and Giroud - Inzaghi https://assets.goal.com/v3/assets/bltcc7a7ffd2fbf71f5/blt1bdda1919f383e7b/6396d7e8dcd5b649520eaa37/Victor_Osimhen_Oliver_Giroud_and_Karim_Benzema.jpeg Filippo Inzaghi believes Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is the best, beyond Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud following his great displays. WHAT HAPPENED? The 23-year-old Nigeria international is having a great season with the Partenopei, who are currently topping the Serie A table. His superb display has caught the attention of the 49-year-old, Inzaghi, who played for Juventus and AC Milan in the same league and is currently the head coach of Serie B club Reggina. Inzaghi has opined Osimhen's qualities as second to none and that he is better than Ballon d'Or winner Benzema, who turns out for Real Madrid. WHAT HE SAID? “If we think of Napoli, Osimhen is a true centre-forward,” Inzaghi said as quoted by TuttoNapoli. "He attacks deep, and keeps the ball, Osimhen is probably the best right now, beyond Benzema, who, however, is less of an area centre forward, and perhaps than Giroud." THE BIGGER PICTURE: The Super Eagle has currently scored nine Serie A goals from 11 matches and chipped in with two assists. His first goal of the campaign came in the 5-2 victory against Hellas Verona on August 15. Last season, Osimhen managed 27 top-flight appearances, scored 14 goals and provided two assists. On Sunday, he was on target as Napoli defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 in a friendly fixture at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort. WHAT NEXT FOR OSIMHEN? The former Lille forward will hope to add to his tally of goals in Serie A when Napoli resume their hunt for the title with a clash against Inter Milan at the San Siro on January 4. Napoli are currently leading the 20-team log with 41 points from 15 matches and remain the only unbeaten side in the top-tier. Source: Goal. |

With Morocco appearance in the semi final I think it is time for an African team to win the world cup. Ivory coast and Nigeria and some other African countries have more talent than Morocco so there is no excuse again. Our players are exposed to European football so why the fear. It's an idea whose time has come. Yes Nigerian and African football has evolved bto that stage. Can't everybody see. Mikel has outplayed Spain in midfield before. Musa has gone toe to toe with Messi before. Kanu has dribbled everybody in Europe before. Drioga, eto, okocha etc can rub shoulders with the best. The next journey is to win the world cup. We should bstop being afraid. Westerhoof was trying bto show us our potentials but we didn't get him. Morocco is sending us a message. They has broken a psychological barrier |

Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso handed Flying Eagles-eligible defensive midfielder Isaiah Okafor his non-competitive debut for the first team of Bayer Leverkusen as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Glasgow Rangers in a friendly game. Isaiah is the younger brother of cap-tied Noah Okafor who played for Switzerland at the World Cup in Qatar. 17-year-old Isaiah Okafor joined Bayer Leverkusen from the youth team of FC Basel in the January transfer window. |

mostob:Sorry they are not petty AT ALL. JUST RACIST that's all , we are used to it. If that was Rashford who had missed that penalyhe would be hanging on the gallows with never ending abuse. But not even a whisper of criticism against Kane. Saka was in my opinion the best player but who gets substituted first . He be should have been left to play. He was more effective than Kane. |
