TheSuperNerd:Imagine Nigeria at this stage still having foreign mediocre as coach. |

I have watched Walid's Wydad and now Walid's Morocco. I also watched Amunike's Nigerian U17s and U20s... Amunike's Tanzania and now I am doing my best to keep up with Amunike's Zanaco. One thing stands out as the similar central piece of both men's playing philosophies and that is how they want their teams transiting as one with the ball in swiftly vertical attacking transitions and when in defence, they all keep a compact shape with narrow gaps maintained between the team's Deepest lying midfielder and the Central defensive line to choke out or deny free invasion of that space by the opposition's attacking midfielders or 8s. Both are also big on using their fullbacks for width in Swift vertical transitions and both encourage crossing from these fullbacks targeted at their Physically imposing Number 9. Walid and Amunike are similar in some aspects of their tactics and playing Philosophies and most importantly we already have lads in the SE who has worked with Amunike and understood and successfully implemented this philosophy. They form the core of this team. So how would it be difficult for them to catch? This is something they can understand. All Amunike will do is make the Super Eagles a team of transition monsters. Lads who know how to execute transition plays swiftly and in sync with one another. Is that not what you want to see in the team or you want more static plays? Smh. Some of you are not ready for change. |

You insulted me by throwing irrelevant questions at me when you can rather easily explain Finidi's achievements and playing philosophy. Do it and stop your deflective babblings. No dey waste my time if you cannot do a simple thing. All you do is shout a point up without giving it any iota of substance. fabyom: |

It is annoying. So very annoying. In 2022, we still dey struggle with getting coaching appointments right. Even Westerhof was out of a coaching job for 4 years before he got the Nigeria job but the difference between him and most is that he actually worked, did his homework and built us a team to be proud of. A golden generation it was indeed. Kog45: |

That is why I said if your father has my intelligence, you won't undermine other people's achievements. I am not surprised you undermined The Great Rufai cos you do not know what success and progress entail. Continue with your family's legacy of failures. Blueelf: |

Oga save your energy. Most of the people managing Nigerian football know that Amunike is good. All they are after is their pocket. My ranking of Nigerian coaches dead and alive is in this order: Keshi > Amodu > Siasia > Amunike. The thing is even if they hire any Nigerian, they will look for excuse when the tournament proper comes to sack the coach and engage a foreign coach so they can share the usual. That was the excuse with Amodu severally. Keshi would have met same situation if not that he won AFCON. They tried to frustrate him to resign before the tournament. Remember how they begged the coach that failed in 2010 world cup to continue so they can continue. TheSuperNerd: |

daveP:Yeah i got your point my man but Rufai @Maroc 88 still remain one of the best by any Nigeria Keeper. Sir,it is not hype if you indeed watched Rufai in the 80s.Sincerely Rufai in the 90s has lost some of his brilliance but not withstanding he did well and that legendary status was well deserved. |

Amuneke got his chance with Equavoen, but they both failed woefully. Finidi with Paserio gave us two wins and a goal-scoring record! After Paserio, Finito will take over and he will be there for a long time! Finidi possesses the charisma, humility, composure, and character to lead a team like the Super Eagles. Also, he has won it all! |

Rufai heroic gave us the 1994 AFCON cup. His penalty saves got us to the 1994 AFCON finals. It was Rufai that stood against the fleet-footed Kalusha-led Zambia attack and the AFCON trophy. Props to Amunike for those two wonderful goals. Rufai is a legend and does not deserve to be disrespected Kog45: |
