I don’t think you were truthful in the first place. But let’s not argue cos I am � right.

Next time, use your parents or direct sibling as your sponsor. You have to give a cogent reason why they will squander millions of naira training you in college with no ROI.

But the only available option is to provide email of the recommenders. Please how do I go about forwarding the letter to them because I have one I can still use from a lecturer even on the dept lettee head.

A simple email to the admissions would have answered this question.

If you have any concerns about your admission, email or call the admissions office. That is why they are there. It’s common sense.

You can always email a paper copy of your recommendation and it would be uploaded for you.

LoL. You don't have to be vulgar when expressing yourself. You can voice your opinion without calling anyone silly. Yes some profs don't have funding. That's why students in their lab do TA instead of RA. Talking about labs, it's more about collaborating to churn out papers these days than it's about getting funded. Writing and getting grants isn't as easy as most think it is.

Some labs are not necessarily wet labs where they need to be buying reagents and all of that. And Yes, some professors don't have funding. Mine doesn't and that never stop us from writing papers. Like I said, it's Okay if you don't know. Sometimes, it's okay to keep mouth shut than to be splashing water here and there

It’s really funny reading newbies trying to argue with people who have been in the system while you were still struggling with furthermath in high school.

Sit your butt down and learn. Your professor has funding, not just enough to pay RA.

You need to find a better sponsor here, like family related. Also do your best to get a graduate assistantship

Please guys I'm filling my Form DS-160, I'm a bit confused.. my program start date is 10th of January but classes starts January 17th.. do i have to travel before the program start date which is on the 10th of Jan or i can travel 3 days to the start of classes (14th of Jan)... And also should i indicate that as my intended arrival date knowing it's 4 days past the start of my program but 3 days to the start of classes?? Would i be denied visa for that reason?

Why would I lie about my sponsor after a visa denial , why will I lie here on nairaland , I’m not lieing , someone I don’t know wants to sponsor me , so what will I Gain by coming here and lieing about that . With what I’ve read on this site , I learnt that I shouldn’t lie to the consulate because sometimes they can verify and if they find out I’m lieing it will be a problem .
He owns an oil and gas company and I went there with his company documents and addresses , she didn’t wanna hear anything I was saying . Even if I lied at the embassy which I cannot do , why will I come here and be lieing .My parents don’t have that kind of money for the u.s , I’m going for undergrad and not many schools have funding for me , so because I saw a man willing to help me it means I’m lieing ??

Guy, no VO will easily approve a student visa funding from a family friend. If he stops being a family friend nko? You will be stranded in US and may cost tax payers money. Thats how they will reason it. I advise you to work on your funding.. maybe that friend can transfer the money to you for the i-20 (make sure to state this) or pay most of the fees to the school himself to show his genuineness to sponsor you. You need to explain better to the consular , I know
Sometimes they might not give audience , but when you go next , just try to explain if your asked . I wish you the best !

It is advised to travel before the program start date. I think this should be indicated in the I20. I also know some programs have mandatory orientation for students and that usually is done before the start of classes. It is best to indicate that you will be arriving in the US before your program start date. If for some reason you cant make it, ask the school for an extension.

If he paid the money into your account, you didn't need to mention him as a sponsor.

Someone might have idea here, so please help. How does Worldpay work for receiving payment? I have also tried google and couldn't find a clear explanation.

I had earlier sent money to an exam body through a Worldpay link that was emailed by the Worldpay.

Now, the same exam body has sent me a refund through Worldpay again and all I got this time, was the notification of payment.

How do I make this claim and access the real money please?

Thank you. Schools says my i20 will only be ready by January. Anything I can begin before then? I understand visa dates are very difficult now. Any date search groups here?

I applied for emergency appointment in Abuja on Dec.9 and was denied.

Bought a new MRV fee and have been trying to apply for emergency appointment in Lagos since last week and all I keep getting is

"Emergency Request cannot be submitted at this time. please wait"

Please any Idea what might have happened?
