Emefiele sha dey do as if CBN na him papa house and now he has stepped on the toes of the powers that be, and they are all out to get him.

What he did with the naira redesign and the money withdrawal per week was a good move, but this man has used the power of his office to make ordinary Nigerians to continue living in poverty and also terrorize us, and with that, I don't have a single sympathy for him.

1) He confisticated all youths funds traced to crypto and made it illegal. Something that didn't have the court's backing and it was just to show the power of his office.

2) He brought down Aboki fx, and claimed it was Aboki fx that was manipulating the NGN fx market. Something that was a lie.

3) Started collecting stamp duties on every 10k. And also increased the dues of USSD transaction.

And there are other fiscal policy he implemented that was just targetting the normal average man in Nigeria.

ONCE AGAIN, I DON'T HAVE THE SINGLE SYMPATHY FOR HIM.

Even the law doesn't give Buhari the power to sack him.

The man just initiated very critical policies.

Allow him to fully implement them and serve our his tenure as CBN governor.
Did you just say Buhari cannot fire him. Illiteracy is a disease. Did you know that Emefiele was appointed and not voted for. Maybe you think he is covered by immunity. Research before you come online and be typing rubbish

Some people even thinking emefiele policy affects tinubu are really funny.

They're supporting emefiele bad policies because they think it's affecting tinubu lolz.

Yes it's affecting Tinubu and this is why:

The new notes are not in bulk circulation for now because the Central Bank has limited the numbers of denominations going to banks. GTB for instance got only 150 million naira of the new notes for Lagos alone Abuja got 120 million naira. This information is according to an insider i know that works in GTB.

The withdrawal limit is also a big blow to him as this will mitigate his efforts in mobilizing vote buyers and other machinations which will be employed to help him perform election malpractice.

Buhari and the Fulani oligarchs really prepared for Tinubu. They rubbished him immediately Buhari took power and they are rubbishing him again as Buhari is about to leave. They would rather prefer an Atiku or even an Obi presidency than Tinubu.

February 2033 is gonna be so interesting.

Someone asked me if Emefiele would have introduced such policies if he was in the running for presidency? The truth is a fat no.

It is hypocritical to now introduce such incomprehensible policies now.

First and foremost, Enefiele's hands are nor clean. He is suspected to be a major shareholder in Titan Trust bank.

The policies make no sense. First, you want to to take the high denomination notes out of circulation. Question I have been asking myself is 'what high denomination note does Nigeria have?'

The 1,000 naira note is barely 1 pound sterling. The N500 is about 70 cents. In a currency that will soon be a 4 digit currency, a 1,000 naira note is worth nothing! To make matters worse, you limit withdrawals to N20,000 a day. What can N20K daily buy you?

When Lamido Sanusi introduced the cashless policy in 2013 or so, the 150,000 withdrawal limit was worth about $960. Today, that 150k is worth bare $200. He now has the temerity to reduce it to 20,000 daily which is barely $30. This is scandalous and aberrational.

Always look at any policy critically, no matter the institution that is making it. This is a bad policy and it was only proper it was reversed. The only reason why it went so far was it had Buhari's support. As usual, it was an amateurish attempt to fight corruption which involved throwing out the baby out with the bathwater.

This is the most informed, well thought out post I have read on this thread.

Kudos, sir!

The president, through d office of d SGF sent him a letter since 2017 ordering him to open a central account for stamp duty revenue, till date, he has not done dat. Instead, CBN opened a forex account known as I &E trading platform where all dis monies go to directly, even d CBN is a participant on dat platform. Now, every transaction above 5k in banks, d person is charged 100naira, so dere is an agreement of sharing formula between the CBN and all d commercial banks, d banks take 60naira of d charge and CBN takes 40. Now dis 40naira charge goes directly to dat I&E trading platform since 2017, dis money has accrued to about 178billlion dollars, d federal government doesn't know about dis, as a matter of fact, it's only d CBN governor himself and his cronies dat know about dis money.
Do u know dat d CBN governor borrows Nigerian govt money from dat account, anytime u hear domestic debt, where do u think d CBN governor use to source dis monies to borrow d federal govt from?? ur guess is good as mine.(SBH. School of Banking Honors)
The minister of Finance doesn't even know d yearly budget of d CBN which runs to about 3trilion, so dis man spends money anyhow he likes. The CBN board of trustees dats supposed to atleast checkmate d happenings in d bank, The CBN governor is d chairman of d board of trustees, more like been a judge in ur own case. He decides what happens, this practically means no one is checkmating d activities of d CBN. The guy na badt guy.
Na small tin b dis oo, I go gist una d remaining one later.

Emefiele is obviously not clean but those after him are the biggest thieves. Unfortunately for him, he has no integrity to fight back. Nigerians can't fight for him either.

See, unless Peter Obi makes it to Aso rock, the status quo will remain. Who does Tinubu want to challenge when the entire Africa knows about his corrupt lifestyle?

How can a personality like Tinubu fight corruption? Dude can't even face Nigerians to talk about corruption.

Believe me, if you hear the amount of money Emefiele is alleged to have stolen, there is no bigger thief in the history of Nigeria. Abacha was a learner when compared to Emefiele.

Maybe it's the devaluation of the Naira from about 250 to the dollar he met it in 2014 to the 750 it is now.
