Eyinola1:That's the point I am trying to make. pope191:Let's see how it goes during winter, if the riders remain on Indrive with the high price mentality, we will port to Indrive. But if they return to Bolt for cheap surgeless trips, then what choice do we have? If Indrive twiks their algorithm again to pre Ember months pricing then na Bolt sure pass. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by pope191: 7:42am On Dec 27, 2022 |
Pearl1910:No matter how bad Indrive price is outside traffic, it will be better than Bolt without surge. Both has purpose, just know when to switch is the basic thing. There was a day, maybe 2 weeks ago when Eyinola said surge is the reason why he is yet to work this December. That was the day surge blew on Bolt. I was doing yaba to Magodo phase 2 7k on Bolt, riders on Indrive are still dragging 3k with driver. If you wake this morning, they may not be surge on bolt, from Berger to island will be around 4k, I guess. On your Indrive this morning you will see one girl that just closed from work begging 7 to 8k on Indrive. No loyalty in this business, we should all be a fair weather friend to all. Riders do same, they compare app before booking. I have done it too riders most of the time, by telling them to stop fooling around. They are booking on Indrive and bolt at the same time. Who do they want to stress? You will get there and be meeting another driver. |

easytig:Are you new to this hustle? Eish not me. Immediately she drops the call after telling me that nonsense, I'm calling the sender, reciever either comes down to take package or I drop it with the security. |

ReadaDream:Honestly!! Some weeks back I delivered a cake at lekki phase 1( hotel for that matter). The chic was asking me to bring it to her room that she couldn't come down & also, she was eating. I told her I couldn't and she has a limited time with me to wait for her. She insisted, I stood my ground. I let her knew, that the only thing I could do for her after the time elapsed was to drop it to the receptionist. Eventually, she came down (men, the girl fine die ) and was telling me that I was wicked, in UK, they do such. I told her UK is not Lagos, what if they wanted to cut my head in the room.Well, we later laughed it off. But message passed. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ReadaDream(m): 9:33am On Dec 27, 2022 |
Itsrm:It's not always about the money boss. Although I have not lost money on a delivery trip before. Twice that the reciever tried it, I made sure they come down for their package. One at Prime water gardens told me to find my way down to 4th floor ![]() Another Skit maker at Boudillon Court Chevron said I should bring his food upstairs, nibo? Alaye come and collect your food. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 10:06am On Dec 27, 2022 |
ReadaDream:This delivery matter, I make it clear to d sender before I accept to embark on the trip that I am not leaving my car, Reciever must come out and collect package. Sometimes sender is not even in the location, they want you to go inside the shop or something and collect the package and deliver to someone else. Capital No. U will bring it to my car and come to d car to collect it. And I am not dropping package until I get my alert. Na quarrel o, but I don't mind d one star. Offcourse d fare must be worth it. Ehailing is not a delivery service so I am doing you a favour accepting this, u will not come and stress me ontop. |

Pearl1910:You always catch on late. Been on this issue for the past 6 months. I stopped driving for bolt 6 months ago. 6 months ago, I kept saying bolt is dead and will be properly buried in December. They fooled you guys with bonuses. ![]() |

pope191:I have always said its obtainable for anyone, that if I can do it, anyone can. All these things I post is just to prove people wrong. The day pearl posted can indriver give you this, I just laughed at his ignorance of indriver psychology. It's about the riders, not what the app is doing. I even go as far as explaining how I manage my time so I can make such. I don't bother much on this thread since I created the telegram. People who take me serious are all there and we relate regularly. It's really easy with commitment. Energy will always come |

Pearl1910:Baba, delivery is most times stressful, hence, I avoid it. There was one lady I went out of my way to assist though, she requested from Ajao estate to Surulere, she called immediately that it's delivery, I'll pick up some waybilled items from the company and bring to her location. She told me it will require me to leave my car and go inside to sign documents and all the paparazzis involved. Very polite lady. I agreed, I was close to the pickup location, in less than 10mins I was done and proceeded to destination. Got there, she came out immediately, she added extra 2500 to the fare. |

pope191:Bolt has been over for 6 months since I started shitting on them. The trick they used was the bonus. They know drivers like to chase bonuses, then they make it very very difficult to attain. So if you miss today's bonus, they'll give another tomorrow to just enslave your mentality. Drivers forget that for everyday they miss bolt's bonus, they actually paid 25% commission. And bolt keeps making them come back. Carrot and stick approach |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ReadaDream(m): 10:26am On Dec 27, 2022 |
pope191:I wonder why they do that really... Those eateries offer delivery service, they won't use it. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 10:27am On Dec 27, 2022 |
This is carrot and stick approach meaning for those that don't understand. This is what Bolt has been doing to you guys. I'm too old for that nonsense They played on your psychology The carrot is the bonuses. The stick is the driver score which they use in controlling you. Therefore, you must only go where they send you. ![]() Pearl basically altered his behavior and performance. He knew he was being robbed, but the belief that he'll get the carrot at the end, makes him find ways to evade the driver score

Eyinola1:Nah some drivers they give riders soft hand for this hustle. The one that seems to piss me off are riders that are always quick to say I can't add any money to a trip. The way I always look at them with straight face like who is asking for your money? Like, I got a request to ijesha rd using cele to connect for 5400, I gave her 6k and she accept. Got to the place, realized it was a delivery and package is going to Abule-Ado. All effort to explain to this girl that she input the wrong address fell on "I don't have any kobo to add, I even pick your price, are you going or not?". Me going to Abule-Ado around 3pm, ohk! Even if you give me 100k, I won't flinch. |

CheerfulGiver:For those that cares about there score... once I have taken their bonus and maybe done 20k minus bonus, I switch to indrive. The only good things I noticed is Bolt is sweet on V.I from 4pm your stand a chance of taking 1.9 surge to mainland for 3 hrs. Sweet deal to say the least

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 10:42am On Dec 27, 2022 |
pope191:As long as 25% commission exists, there is nothing sweet about it. December will come and go. They've killed the mentality of their riders. Bolt will die. Uber won't. They were smart enough to introduce uber go, and advertise it as #400 nairaland trip even when they knew it wasn't always possible. What did bolt do? Treat drivers like trash, charge exorbitant commission, charge riders like crazy, and no adverts. They feel they are on top. They don't know what's going on ![]() |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 11:08am On Dec 27, 2022 |
Indrive will wax stronger. Bolt on the other hand will lose more drivers if they don't do something fast about their policy . One thing Bolt forgets is, drivers are the engine running this racket. . Without drivers, no orders fulfilled. The app with more drivers will definitely lead, it's just a matter of time (the case of Uber, riders couldn't get drivers on time, when Moove approached them,it was a breath of fresh air for Uber). Moove saved their ass . Right now, they are still looking for more drivers Bolt is a funny and a sorry case.. who takes 25% and still threatens the cash cow? Freedom on Indrive is priceless ...... Imagine 2 apps similar to Indrive operating next year in Lagos. ... They will shove Bolt into the freaking black hole... ![]() |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 11:10am On Dec 27, 2022 |
Another way they play on everyone's psychology is the pricing. Bolt makes you believe that if you get a 20k 2.4x surge trip on Bolt from Sangotedo to ikeja, that you are better than an indriver, who got the same trip for 17k. Look at the scam: Bolt - 20k trip. Commission 25%(5k) They leave you with 15000. Indriver 17k . Commission 9.85%(1,674) they leave you with 15325. What just happened is that the rider lost, the driver lost, Bolt gained. So if you were a rider, why will you choose to pay 20k for a trip you can get for 17k? If the trip is go come, why will you choose to dash bolt 6k? This is the psychology. Any rider that notices this shit_, NEVER comes back. So drivers on indriver always have trips. Rider happy, driver happy. Yesterday was back to back to back to back to back to back to back. If bolt REALLY cared about drivers, they'll remove the bonuses and reduce the commission. But they won't. And that's why they'll die. ![]() |

northbird:ohhhh. Have you heard of Rida? Same format as indriver but with 0% commission. You know sometimes when indriver network is down, I use Rida. Rida has replaced bolt. This is my own chart of apps. Indriver Rida Uber Bolt. Soon, those roosca guys advertising on this thread will even kick bolt ![]() I've not been to Ikorudu in 6 months, because I choose not to. I choose destinations without worries of being blocked. My God! Who thinks for bolt? |
