But the irony of this offer by UK Govt is that civil servants embarked on uncountable strikes in recent time.They were clamouring for pay rise to cushion the effect of high cost of living.
Many of their workers including qualified teachers could no longer cope with the economic realities so they quit working.
Looking at the mass exodus of workers the govt decided to engage the services of non residents.
Perhaps they know fully well that migrant workers will accept the pay threshold rejected by their working class citizens.
Recall they offered similar work opportunities for health career workers recently which led to exodus of our health providers.Nigeria qualified doctors and nurses were offered jobs in HC, HCAW,PSW,Social Work and care giver etc.Again this level of work was rejected by their qualified citizens in health field cos the annual salary threshold could not mitigate the high cost of living expenses.
My own submission tho on why they intend to outsource for teachers from 9 nations including Nigeria.

Actually they don't require teaching cert but experience of at least two years, as they'll train you themselves. But I talked about HND cos they required first degree (Bsc). So I wasn't sure if they see both as same.

A system that tolerates or encourages such crass behaviour will definitely accept, encourage all sorts deviance in the name of wokeness and enlightenment.

And they'll call you ignorant for calling them out. They're only human in appearance but their minds are so messed up they think they are doing the world a favour being them.

MOST of our parents in nigeria who i advised against sending their unstable kids to uk tot i was jealous and mad.. fastforward to few years ,come and see rotten children . returned back (including d ones that chosed not to against their parents wish).messed up kids,lots of the parents regretted that action.the bad influence no be here o!

Despite my cautionary notes earlier, I will not discourage anyone who is sufficiently broadminded and good at one of the shortage subjects from applying for the scheme.

There are many schools in the UK where student behaviour is not as challenging as described on this thread, and teaching is a rewarding profession too

It should be 1.9k after tax.

It's not great pay but it's definitely liveable.
It'd be difficult to get by with that in London. I'd rarely advise anyone new to the UK to settle in London except it gives you a comparatively better pay which is not the case for many.
Most folks would get better schools, less crime, better housing and social amenities e.t.c for same money in lots of lovely places outside London. For sure, London just like Newyork has it's perks and difficult to compare with in certain areas.

it's the typical train your child the way you want him/her to go situation, if the adults over the seas don't show the young ones how to grow and the need for good morals they will grow up with it and call it racism, something you won't find in a typical african kid. In Africa you imbibe the kids with the way and the teaching of the Lord not giving them reasons to reject good moral teachings.
