Good morning my good people. Please I need your input on this.
I have a VW Passat cc 2012, for a while now it's been difficult to get it started in the morning, it will start and go off immediately. Now it doesn't even start again. We have used 3 different VW specialists but none seem to get why the issue is. The last person that was referred to us said there's an issue with the fuel pump, (meanwhile the previous mechanics changed the fuel pump o we've bought 3 different fuel pumps now) and below was the quote he gave us
Need to buy a new fuel pump(the original)-60k, 2 sensors in the engine-25k, and workmanship 65k===== 150k
After we agreed and he did all of these he now decided that he would need to tow the car to his workshop and get it properly checked as he was seeing some bypass in the engine or so. He towed the car and now he's giving us another quite that these things need to be worked on again. Pls I need your advice on this because I feel this guy is just taking advantage of my ignorance on this matter.

Check the wiring harness to confirm it's still in good condition. You can test the switch manually with a 12V battery.
Confirm if there is sludge in the engine. If there is, you might need to clean the filter in the switch or replace.

Hello Gazzuzz, greetings to you. my car Toyota camry radiator reservoir coolant is not moving into the radiator. after a long day drive, when i opened the radiator cap the next morning, i usually see a drop in coolant level but coolant reservoir level remain intact/same. What could be the cause please?

Radiator contains coolant, when coolant temp rises, it expands in volume, the excess is channelled via pipes to the expansion tank aka reservoir, when the engine is turned off the coolant begins to cool cooling causes the volume of coolant in radiator/engine to contract, creating a vacuum which pulls the excess from the expansion tank to replace exactly what was lost in the system.

There are a few rules to this

1. The pipe in the expansion tank must be in constant contact with the coolant in the container, and must have firm joints without leaks.

2. The radiator cap which is rated at a particular pressure setting must be functional and operational, it's rubber seal at base must be intact.

3. There should be no other leaks within the coolant system.
