Thank you so much.

Letter of invitation or letter of explanation?

It also asked for passport details and address (in canada) of the person inviting him.

What do i type in pls? I'm alsp applying with him so i don't have a canadian address.

Whew. My GCkey account kept locking me out and that's why went to the new IRCC portal. The shege my eyes have seen is sprikled with ginger and garlic

kennyjoy:

You need to write Letter of Invitation in which you explain to the visa officer why you want your son to accompany you to Canada.

Please who knows if this is an advisable thing to do?
chigozieevans:

I can remember I had same issue.
Here's what I did bro,

I logged into my 9ja university portal (with computer not phone),
I hit the show result tab,
I downloaded all the pages for the entire 8 semesters.
I merged them into one PDF file

BOOM - unofficial transcript dan set

That was how I got admission.
This is just a suggestion

Anyone can please help out with my question.
Do I have to print another consent form because the one given to me during biometric has prints at both sides of one A4 paper with my name, address, date and signature on both sides but the one I saw online is about 4 pages(2 pg if printed front and back). Do I need to print and fill the form again or the one given during Biometrics is sufficient

I don’t think you need to pay anything else aside the courier fee.

I didn’t pay any fee. I didn’t use DHL, I submitted in-person.

PPR Timeline and Documents

First Time Applicant
I give God the Glory for making this a reality. Truely, what God cannot do does not exist!

I would like to thank @Teeebabyyy, @Johnstan, @Thomysne @Jaykeh @Trailblazer21 @bullstriker @Joedave25 @lolathegenie and @Gigdraft @Yemilizzy for giving prompt response to my questions.

I submitted my application in July. I started visiting this platform after and I gained some wealth of knowledge.
My SOP was simple and straight to the point (2 pages with one extra page listing the documents I submitted).
I also had lump sum of 2M from my sponsor in my personal statement of account and also salary account which was a bonus from work. I did not explain the lump sums and when ever I see peoples' PPR story, I get anxious and the thought of explaining the lump sum and sending an updated SOP via webform always came to mind but I never did. To be sincere, after seeing some PPRs and documents submitted on this platform, I get worried about my application. I decided to relax and trust God to perfect it.
In August, I got a scholarship, sent it via webform but never got a response (aside generic response) until October. I also sent an email to the MP but they replied that the agents were busy with Russia applicants so they couldn't help.
2nd week in November, I sent a webform to ask for update on my application.
The following week, I forwarded email to Nairobi office.
The 4th week, I emailed Accra, Nairobi and London asking for update and also requesting them to expedite my application. That same week, I ordered my CBSA note. Lo and behold, I checked my portal a week after and saw that my eligibility had started. The following day, I received a medical request.

Please what school did you apply to at Regina?
Oldfashioned145:
Ok guys so the continuation....

After I landed at Doha. It was a pretty cool airport where everyone was taking pictures with Messi on a small billboard in the airport.

I had a layover for 6 hours and before I could board the plane I was told to check in my carry on because the airplane was too small ( I foolishly did and herein lied my first mistake).
Me thinking at least I won't be struggling with bag from plane to plane took the relief and boarded the plane only for me to land in Toronto and here a big problem started.

I landed in Toronto on the 24th and was told my flight had been cancelled that I should go make a reservation upstairs.

Easy peasy right.... Well it wasn't because I needed to telephone their agents and there was quite a queue.

Eventually I got on the telephone, was placed on hold for 2 hours by then the queue was becoming more and more longer and then to my frustrations the only thing I got from the agent was that my bags had already been checked in and before she could reschedule I needed to go check out my bags at the airport desk then re phone them again.

Which meant I had to Requeue.

After checking out my bags I had to get something to eat and woooah Toronto tax was pretty not pocket Friendly.

I had to Requeue which meant I spent my night on the queue because the line was very long like filling station fuel scarcity long and then add the extra 2 hour hold on every call made.

I managed to get on the phone Christmas morning and boom my flight was rescheduled to 29th and it wasn't a direct flight anymore it was a connecting flight to Calgary

Anyways lemme cut the long story Short.

I fell sick at the airport, like vomiting blood that kinda sick and also air pressure was trapped in my ear because of the plane descent and all my drugs were in my checked in bags. I was also really cold at the airport like freezing cold i had to be washing my hands with hot water every 30.min

But shey you dey whine divine health ni?

Had to find an airbnb. AirBnB was really cool.

Landed in Calgary on the 29th by 12 midnight. Slept in the airport because my connecting flight to Regina was 30th by 9am.

Finally got to Regina... woooah and its been great so far.

I'm Greatful to God for divine strength because my journey wasnt like the others but I sailed through.

PS. CBSA didn't really ask me anything they just printed my study permit and the officer asked me what was my school and program. That's all although there was one man officer that was really tackling students baba was even asking indian students what was their favorite dish.

AND MY PEOPLE AS I SIT HERE TYPING THIS I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANY OF MY BAGS yet BUT AIR CANADA MATTER DON TIRE ME anytime they're ready so am I apparently my bags were still in Toronto when I landed at Regina but.....

To God be the glory

NGOZIGLORI:
@Jonhstan pls at the Nigeria airport here what documents did they ask for?

Do they ransack the luggages at any of the airport?

And pls the yellow card how can one obtain it. And at what cost?

Am meant to understand that at Toronto, it's basically the introduction letter and passport that they usually ask for?
Did they ask for POF at the Toronto airport?

Thank you.

Nope your luggage will not be ransacked at any time. Once your main luggage are checked in you will be left with only your carry-on till you arrive at Toronto airport.

The yellow card is given to you by immigration to fill your details. It's not purchased.

Please go along with all the necessary documents, what others were asked for may not be what you will be asked.
*Letter of introduction
*Passport/visa
*Letter of acceptance
*POF
*Evidence of the accommodation you plan to stay
*Any school fees payment receipts
*Valid E-medical sheet.

Cheers

Thank you for being so helpful here. I’ll be coming to Waterloo campus in April for May ‘23 intake, I’d really like to ask questions after your first semester in April (being that you would have gotten a hang of the system). I hope that’s okay with you.
I wish you all the best!

Do you know abt the iCent app to be filled- I heard its mandatory.

Sure, the winter semester classes starts on the 9th of this month.
You will need to download the icent app and fill your details, it's compulsory.

Hello @Oldfashioned145
Please can you give an estimate on how long it takes to get a response from them? I’ve applied since November ending but no response yet. No response about WES sent to them too.
Could it be because I didn’t upload anything for test scores?

And do they need IELTS test even after meeting the requirements of being taught in English?

I’d really appreciate your response. Thank you

Hi. The university of Regina waives IELTS for Nigerians and if I may ask what session did you apply for.

Also you need to send them consistent mails untill you get a feedback from them.

Please, is it possible for a sponsor to sponsor two people simultaneously?
Do they verify if a sponsor is used by two applicants?
looking forward to your reply.

If the sponsor has the funds to sponsor two persons, then it is okay. It is dicey for a sponsor to use same funds to try to sponsor two people, cos there is a chance that it might be found out.

It will be better to address it as a sub topic, this will help push it out to the VO to see and take note, but ensure you are addressing it based on your GCMS notes.
