Happy New Year House.

2023 will be a great year for all of us.

From look of things, seems business visas are giving the beam light, but for invitations and other paper work.
Its worth considering for 2023.

I AM BACK!

Business visas are uniquely designed for persons, corporate bodies involved in inter trade activities. Please read more on the UKVI page to have a clearer perspective of business visas.
You need an invitation.

Alright. If they are willing, they should state in the letter, the purpose for your visit, if they will be hosting you, or you are hosting yourself(self financing), full details of your trip should be stated in the letter.

And Please, visit the UKVI page to get more information as regards your visa category.
Do not always rely on all the information you get here, there is an update on their page from time to time.

Please carry out other research there.

Good evening house finally the decisions came today and all were refused, I think the UK embassy is presently tired of granting visitors visas so I will take a break here till they are willing again, but I will still like to share the refusal notes maybe few people can use it to work towards their own applications afterward, and if there is any advise to share to enable us to change status when applying in future.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 9:36pm On Jan 06, 2023
In December, i had a post extract here from Rishi Sunak's meetings in the house.
Part of what i proposed was to tell people to take it easy on Uk visitors visa.
The department is controlled by Asians and Red Indians.
What would anyone expect? They are already implementing their iron hand on immigrants by blocking the number of visits.

Above all, my personal opinion about a system and how it works, stays with me.
If you are ok with continous re trails, because i see some post about people saying they want to reapply immediately,
do it with caution. Alot of resources come into play in all of these processes.

Alright. so i am not going to be diverting any one to schengen visa applications because the thread remains a strictly UK thread.. but has anyone heard of lithuania business Type D visa?
Seems like some headway.

your opening balance made large portion of your closing balance and if your monthly disposable income is been added properly, you should be having more balance than the opening balance. I.e you are probably spending more than declared and you are leaving fewer amounts of your monthly salary in addition to the opening balance which makes your opening balance more.

It's not expected of a fixed salary income earner to have scattered or flexible income. So other credits needs explanation. The ECO didn't just State it straight that you are spending more than declared to have your opening balance making almost majority of the closing balance. The salary income is still of the previous application which the previous ECO complained about spending 2 months disposable income, the salary hasn't increased and you intend sponsoring 2 people again under same financial condition without assistance, it wasn't listed as reason for refusal but it's likely the reason is repeated if you ain't getting support or positive changes in financial condition.

Assuming your disposable income adds up as stated and your travel budget is not questionable, you are on the winning side because your employment tie is solid.

I just got a refusal on my for UK business visa. Quite funny their flimsy reason though. I will share later. It is interesting how people who wants to Japa actually beats the system/ their so called scrutiny while those of us who are being honest get refused.

1. Fill out the form D-160 online. Make sure you print the confirmation page.

2. Pay the visa fee online and then schedule appointment for interview.

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/tourism-visitor/required-documents/

Appointment for London: You should be able to get appointment towards the end of March or in April because their website says 90 days.

Appointment for Belfast: Their website says 115 days then the appointment might fall within April and May

Thanks,

I applied for the 6 Months Visit Visa for ma mum.

Against this odds:
- I used my Naija Address on the correspondence letter head I did.
- No money in her own account was shown. I didn't even use her statement, I used mine with N1.14m balance (N20m+ turnovers in 6months)
- She's recently retired, i.e. She doesn't have any income; and they usually want to see what the traveler can bring to the table, on their own, before sponsor now states funds

The Visa came out in 2 weeks. Standard Visitor Visa ooooooo.

It was amazing experience for me.

NB:

- She's a Pastor, so I used her Ministry Introduction Letter stating she will be on leave
- She retired as Deputy Director in Lagos State Ministry of Education (So, she probably had a strong profile too)
- I stated that she was coming for her Birthday (coming up in February 28), and that the trip was a gift following her retirement, and pay back for being supportive to me.
- I made sure to create strong ties with her children and husband left back at home, using Marriage certificate and family pictures of husband and 5 kids grown up boys and grand kids, and my wedding and child naming pics with her featuring
- I used my UK BRP card; i just got here in October o, I applied for her in December. I didn't even use my UK Address, just phone number. My stated address was Nigeria, and that i'm still employed and working remotely with my Nigerian employer.

If they checked my BRP and other info, i'm sure they'd see how much i also earn in the UK and how much tax ive paid since I entered.

All in all, it was an unbelievable success. 2 weeks, Visa is out!!!!

Thanks y'all for giving hints here and there to give me some direction.

giselle237:
hiii. Yes dependent visa/work/student visa etc are all temporary visas. U should not use your Nigerian address if u say she is coming to visit you in the UK.. what brings Nigerian address into the equation?
Also ideally you should submit rent or mortgage papers, utilities and Uk proof of address. I dnt see how Nigerian address comes into play here as she needs to have an address for where she is coming to in the UK
Also is there any particular reason why she must come now seeing you just arrived last month? -also as it is worrying to you

Good day everyone

Pls i i need to know if someone have my kind of experience because i feel i have messed up

I applied for dependant visa on the 15 of november
My bio was on the 17th of novrmber and that of the main applicant was on the 16 of novrmber

On the day of my biometrics, i was asked my name which i answered, but when i was asked my date of birth by the staff in charge, i now asked if i should answer with the format it is on my passport, unfortunately the staff stayed mute and the next thing i was snapped and my biometrics taken.

On the 24 of november, the main applicant was asked to forward additional document while i was sent an empty NSF mail on the 25th of november.

The main applicant has since gotten her visa since december 5 while i am yet to receive anything further regarding my own..i however sent a paid mail on the 21st of december and i was told a decision hasn't be made...

I am kind of scared that it is because i didnt answer the question regarding my date of birth that has caused this, i am also scared i may be refused or banned.

Does anyone else have this expirience, plus i need advise on what to do

Thanks everyone

You should have fill your DS160 form under Uk location while you are in Nigeria and booked for your interview date and travel to Uk before your interview date. But if you are already in Uk you can go online and fill your ds160 under Uk country location

JaySterling:
Hi guys, I just moved to the UK In October for my PHD with my wife and 2 kids. I’m the main applicant and wife is dependent.

My two younger brothers are also coming in February for their masters with their wife’s
and kids

The 3 of us are planning on buying a property which would serve as a family house for 3 of us our wife’s and kids, instead of paying multiple rent.

We jointly have about 18M in Nigeria
Please can this be enough to serve as a down payment for a bungalow where we can spread the balance over the years in a mortgage plan.

Also, we are planning on putting all the funds (18M) into one account and send it to UK via form A. Would this be possible?

Please can someone advise me on the process for all this and guide us on what best to do to avoid mistakes

Please advise

I dont think a bungalow would be able to stand for 3 families. The way things work in Europe is that each house or appartment has a maximum number of people that can live in it, according to the building plan of the house . And during the registration of your residency at your local mayor office where the building is situated they will also make sure the total number of people to be registered as living in that particular appartment doesn't exceed the allowable limit. So maybe your best option for now, would be for each family to rent an appartment based on the size of their family until you can find a house so big and built in a way that it can accommodate 3 families.
