This is my take

This new note is not enough and would be unable to replace the old

With the new law of 20,000 max cash withdrawal coming into effect on the 9th of January and the old notes becoming outdated on the 31st , the demand for the new note would surge

This is done to stampede vote buying in Feb, after the election, we may return back to the old note o

You are not current, sorry.

For your information I am Hausa/Fulani. So make your judgements

It's either Hausa or Fulani. Take note. The days of pulling the wool over the eyes of Nigerians are over. Choose one, Hausa or Fulani. Nothing like Hausa-fulani ethnicity in Nigeria or the whole world for that matter.

Is there Yoruba-fulani? Igbo-Yoruba? Ibibio-ijaw? Tiv-Jukun? What is all these for heaven's sake?

look in the mirror mate! He basically explained what they said in simple terms for you to understand. But apparently you still didn't get it. Nothing he says was made up or nonsensical. You can rather claim the MINT explanation is nonsensical but not his because he basically explained their statement which I think is accurate ( his explanation). The MINT on the other hand maybe bullsh**ing us.

His conclusions gave his statement away. Kindly reread. Thank you!

you did not read it else you wouldn't have made this comment.

They are saying that the quality of the new naira note is same as the old one, if you get a newly printed old naira note, it will exhibit the same quality, the high ink deposit helps to improve the texture of the notes, the note gets heavier with time and those help to differentiate it from the counterfeited ones.
They could be lying but that's the summary of what they are saying, for those that read only the headline.

So, to me, anybody that goes about washing or scrubbing the note to test its quality, is on his own. Treat the note with respect,. grin

To the Glory of God I have lived long in this country, witness or saw new minted money but never heard or observed new notes exhibit this fallacy. The truth remains poor job results and nobody is taking responsibility.

In your attempt at justifying incompetence, you have shown yourself to be bereft of wisdom. You even tried to remove yourself from the stupidity by saying "they could be lying" but you are actually part of the uselessness...this bogus explanation doesn't negate the fact that the notes are of very bad quality and can pass for counterfeits anyday and anytime...smh

No they don't exist. The hausa-fulani narrative is a deceptive coinage created by the oppressive Fulani elites to create a false sense of brotherliness and solidarity with the native Hausa's in the North in order to continue to oppress and subjugate them. Continue living in deception.

you have a very big problem. You know what your problem is, Stupidity, yes. that's what your problem is. Money was printed, people are complaining that the note is inferior to the old one, CBN says that the new ones were printed the same way the old ones were printed. So what is your problem with me, Am I the CBN that printed the money, all I did was to highlight what CBN said, all you need to do is to say no, CBN is lying, period! Even the post I quoted says that CBN is making excuses and I said that excuses are made when one accepts that he has made a mistake, here CBN has not accepted making any mistake, to them, the new note is the same as the old one, For me, I have not tried it and I don't want to even try it because I don't have anything to prove, if by mistake mine washes, I can sue CBN and maybe wash it in the court to prove my point but for now. all of you that are attacking me are chasing shadows.

This note can easily be faked! Especially for people who launder substandard notes. All they need do is add COLORING to their final product(s).
Do it let's see. Please mention me when you are done.

BBC Hausa made a video clip proving how fake those videos in circulation are misleading.
They used dollar, old and new Naira notes, they washed them with detergent and water and visibly proven that even the foreign currencies like dollar leave stain on white garment after rubbing and the new mint don't easily get washed away.

It's a face saving comment.
New notes shouldn't stain your clothes irrespective of the colour.
Our currency size is still large and this means waste of paper.
The paper notes should come in the same sizes as the polymer notes or the size of the US dollar .

This thing that an airport attendant called paper in Dubai. I was so angry as I was passing the scanning check the few naira notes I had in my pocket flew away onto the conveyor belt. "Your papers! your papers!", the security guy screamed. I was mad at him, "don't you recognize money when you see one?" I quizzed. His stupid looks fixed on me til I left his station.
