I understood. But I thought it fit to point out that the negative reward is also there and when this is taking in, I think it may help people come to a right thinking and judgement.

Most Nigerians pay tithes first for restitution for their crimes and then to bless their criminal activities to be able to successfully carry out more crimes. Yahoo boys pay tithes, thieving and murderous politicians pay tithes, kidnappers pay tithes, fake drug sellers killing people silently pay tithes and even ashawo or runs girls pay tithes. Pastors (supported by their sheepish followers) don't care how the tithe money is obtained, all they want is the money to be able to live extravagant lives.

Simply put it was for the upkeep of God's servants the Levites in the bible..

Because the Levites did not have any land since their inheritance 'was the Lord's' they still had to make a living, and the only way they could make a living was living off the tithes and offerings.

It is even explicitly said in the bible.

The reason why it is a controversy...is because we have had too many tales of churches and pastors using tithe money to 'build their empires' and 'buy the latest jet' and for the orthodox churches...financial frauds, and so forth. No one looks at the things like schools, buildings and orphanages, and the like...even welfare projects...that were built by....tithes and offerings.

you people make God look like Nigeria president, there was a reason why god introduce tithes, Tithes were given to the Levites and priests, but there are no Levites and priests in the new covenant, even Jesus been the highest priest didn't receive tithes because he was not from Levites, he was from Judea, if you are to receive or pay tithes then go ahead and keep doing the other Mosaic lawas too like an eye for an eye etc.

Not True.

People have always been criminals and this tithing thing began when The Prophecy of the Outpouring of the Spirit was fulfilled in the 1990s to 2010 which these same criminals, both the pastors and the congregation still continue in their criminality.

So the fault lays squarely on the fact that people are criminals and do not have any respect for God.

When it comes to tithe or tithing alot of people are so ignorant about it and some will argue because they have not properly study about the bible and their Pastor refused to teach them because that is the only way he can keep milking them for their ignorant.

Some people can't also differentiate between mosaical law and the commandments of Christ which is giving to us today. Some people as long as it's written in the bible and it's favoring them, it's good.
No Christian is bless because he or she pay tithe because even you who pay it has not pay it according to the way God commanded it should be pay.

Tithe is an act of worship before God, an act of Thanksgiving to God. You are saying thank you for blessing me and I am giving you 10 percent of the blessing. Love is always demonstrated in giving and you give back love from whence it came from.

So as big as God is, it's just 10% that is sufficient to appreciate him. He must be a very broke God. Even government in some countries collect more than 20%.

You see, God does not need your money under any guise. Money is a creation of men and it has God nothing to do with God. Go to school, una no go gree.
