Delta Polytechnic Student Rescued After Attempting Suicide By Jumping Into Oghara River (Photos)

A Delta state polytechnic student has been rescued after she tried committing suicide by jumping into Oghara river, IGBERETV reports.

The student was rescued on Monday, January 16, by commuters and local divers who acted quickly.

Hon Mary Ikpoto who shared the video on Facebook wrote;

"A young lady has attempted Su¡cide about two hours ago, jumping from the Oghara-Benin bridge into the river.

I, in the company of my friend Jay Cee were retuning from Benin when we saw someone jumped from that high bridge into the river. We had to park on top the bridge and raised an alarm.

Fortunately there were some locals under the bridge that ran into the river heading straight down at the point she fell into.

We also called the DPO Oghara CSP Hassan who mobilised men to the scene almost immediately. She was rescued and have been rushed to the Oghara Teaching Hospital.

We do not know the reasons for her actions but gathered that she is a student of the Delta State Polytechnic Otefe, Oghara. The DPO and his team along with some federal hunters rushed her to the hospital."

With the above thought process, you'd be amazed to find out that what you thought was a hopeless situation and moment was just a training/building time for you ahead of that big break just waiting to happen to you.
