If my gen sounds for like 10 mins, it draws like something that wants to off, then stabilizes again

What's the cause, I've tried offing my fridge there by reducing the load, still it persits..

What's the problem and what can I do

Hmmm. An evil spirit has connected 1hp non-inverter AC to your gen.
Pray fervently brother.

I cleaned the plug and it stopped

Seems it's a plug related issue

Since you are talking about 2 Acs, fuel efficiency is literally out of the equation. What size of gen are you considering and what's the power of the ACs? Are the ACs inverter type?

Good morning.
What generator kva should I get for the following appliances.

1. 142L Freezer (115W)
2. 55' Smart TV (160W)
3. Standing Fan (75W)
4. Gotv Decoder
5. MacBook Air
3. 3 led bulbs ( They're usually off when not in use.)

I'm not sure I'm correct with the above power consumption. What generator will comfortably power all the above. Thanks, I await your response.

Hi Everyone.
I want to purchase a generator, i have two brands in mind.
1. Sumec
2. Maxi

Please which is the best among this two.
Fuel efficiency of course is something important and durability too.
I dont have much at home i just want something to power my laptops, and fan, i have an LG inverter AC 1.5HP but i can live without it. Let the gen be able to run all throughout the night.

You will only get subjective opinions based on different user experiences and/or hearsay.

the AC's are 3 in number, two are 1hp, the other 1 is 2hp standing and they are low voltage but not inverter ACs, I bought them second hand. I'm thinking of a 8kva - 10kva range.

Ok then, which ever brand you get, fuel consumption should be roughly thesame.

Professors in the house- please come to my rescue.
I have a Thermocool Ultimate12000RS 10kva rated generator that has been working fine for the past 11 months- I even used it in the early hours of today and put it off when I was done working, and everything worked fine.

I tried to put it on again repeatedly in the evening- but it just wouldn't come on- I had to switch from the remote start and engine switch option to the recoil starter- but it just wouldn't start up. But I noticed the "Pilot Lamp" indicator keeps flashing a red light every time the engine failed to start.

While trying to troubleshoot the generator, I had to change the oil, replace the spark plug, and all- but the engine wouldn't start and the "Pilot Lamp" indicator keeps flashing whenever it fails.

What can I do or try in this situation? I am being very careful not to allow just anybody to tamper with the generator because the generator is a bit pricey and it hasn't been repaired before ever since I bought it brand new almost a year ago.

My 3.5KVA ITEC generator does no longer carries my 1hp air conditioner, TV and laptop.

It now makes some kind of jerking sounds when I put on the AC, TV, and laptop on together.

Before now it's use to carry everything. I've changed the oil and cleaned the air filter but it still persist.

But once I off the AC, it's carries the TV, and laptop and other home gadgets

Might be a dying engine or a failing compressor. Get a technician to take a look.

Good evening my Ogas,

I just got an Elepaq Constant 4.5KVA Gen, so I have a few questions to ask.

1. If I reduce my gen to the least acceleration/rev, will it power all I need it for (One 210L Chest freezer, One 120L Fridge, One PS4, One LED Tv, Dstv and phones chargers) without affecting the performance of the Gadgets? This is because someone told me the higher the generator speed, the faster a Fridge or Freezer cools(I use the chest freezer to sell cold drinks so being able to cool faster is a priority).

2. Will the gen have issues in the long run if I reduce its acceleration or speed?

The generator can carry the load comfortably. Do not tamper with the factory settings.

How about the fuel consumption, won't it consume too much fuel if I leave it at factory settings?

Just bought this gen few days ago and I just learnt here that it uses an aluminium coil 😔. If I had discovered this thread earlier, I wouldn't have settled for it.

Please, how long do you think this gen can serve me b4 it eventually breaks down? Can the coil be replaced with copper should it fail or start giving me problems

Morning engineers.

Have a Luthian 2700 which has not given any problem since purchase.

Change oil almost weekly.

This morning tried switching on and it made some knocking sounds before switching back off.

After some tries it kept making this knocking sounds and suddenly stopped switching on again.

Changed oil, fuel full, still doesn't switch on again.

Always used it on small load, just fan and bulbs.

What do I do please?
I used the generator yesterday for 4 hours

Sounds like a bent valve. Get a technician to have a look.

N.B - Do not attempt to run an engine when you hear a knocking sound.

What stabilizer voltage can I use with a generator with 2.0-2.5kva to power a 115kva Freezer.
Thank you.

Good evening bosses.

Please I need a generator recommendation.
The loads are; 1.5hp, 2hp both inverter ACs, a smart TV, a game console and a 130L fridge.

I'd appreciate something with low noise, fuel efficiency and isn't too expensive.

Thank you.
