Good evening and compliments of the season to you.

Please I need help on my Camry 2009.
I recently disconnected my battery for a friend to jumpstart his car and and this problem come up afterwards. The vehicle idle engine speed will almost drop abruptly below the usual 700/800 mark when at a stop in traffic but will balance and pick-up immediately after. This results in a quick shudder of the engine during this blip. I scanned and discovered the code P0441 relating to vacuum/pressure in the EVAP system. I have checked the fuel cap and no issues.

Please help how to diagnose and fix.

If it started happening after disconnecting your battery, just keep driving the car so it will relearn itself.
Also check for vacuum leaks.

Please I'd need your help. I need to take my Toyota Rush 2020 to your shop. Do you know where I can find the front shock absorber?

Thanks

Why are you shopping for a new shock so early in the life of that car?
Did you run over something on high speed?
If so you might need more than just a shock.

I actually ran over something on high speed. All other things have been taken care of but the shock seems not to be in Nigeria yet. Just looking for where to get it.

You can buy new from local Toyota dealers, ladipo, trade fair or import.
It would be difficult sourcing for used shock.

I've called everywhere but they're yet to take delivery of it. To import seems like the alternative. Any leads?

If you're in Lagos you might want to try trade fair if you can't find in Ladipo or better still import.
All the best.

My own point of view, its not bad. You can use it inasmuch as it meets the e-hailing standards. Its the maintainace that will tell. The cost of changing and things like that.

Honestly, its that maintenance part that worries me and fuel economy. unfortunately, i cant find much user experience for the car. good used ones i have been seeing are around #2m..naija used oh...chai

It's a big car. If it's not airport shuttle, forget about it. The business requires alot of car maintenance, fueling and commission. And your car must be 100% sound or you forget about it.

hmmm, thaanks for your input.

Gather some money and get Honda Civic. You should see one below 2M. Parts are cheap and reliable

Please, I have a problem with my 09 Corolla, I experience hard start in the mornings (sometimes it picks in the 2nd try at the ignition or even 3rd try) and sometimes even during midday after driving around, park to attend to some things and want to start my engine again, I experience similar stuff. I initially changed cold start switch which was not effective as the problem persisted, I told the rewire to fix back my old one. I then changed my fuel pump but still no change from the hard start, I only noticed a difference that day they changed fuel pump. I am tired after spending all these money without having it resolved. Could you people, car gurus help me on a possible solution to fix this hard start, mbok. Cc gazzuz, heavenlybang, radautos

Hey bosses, I just got my first car (toyota yaris 2012) a week ago.. I told my mechanic to change the complete engine and gear with a first grade tokunbo which he did.
The car engine and gear is now working 100% fine.
Yesterday I checked the car underneath and I noticed that one side and the frame is badly rust.
Pls I need to know if it's possible to work on it perfectly or change the entire underneath.
Don't mind my English abeg😂

Here are a few tips to troubleshoot your 09 Corolla's hard start issue: check the battery, starter, fuel system, spark plugs & ignition, engine compression, & throttle body. If none of this works, seek advice from pros or car gurus. Also, if you're in Brisbane, sell your car for some cash and buy new one cheesy

Stop throwing parts at the car.
When replacing the fuel pump, did you replace the entire unit or just the pump itself. Also how much did you buy the pump?
You're having fuel delivery issues as your fuel line does not hold enough pressure to start the car.
Ask your mechanic to check the fuel line if it has fuel pressure in it. If not change your fuel pressure regulator. Also run a fuel pressure test on the pump and change the complete unit with an original one if it has low pressure.

How long have you been using the 20W50?
Did you just get the car?
If yes was the previous owner using 20W50?
If you've been using the car for a while and have always serviced with 5W30, you can always switch back.
But if the service history has always been 20W50, I'll advise you stick to it.

Frame rust is a death sentence to all cars.
Can it be repaired? Yes it can.
But it has to be done professionally to avoid future problems.

Your fuel pressure regulator is most likely the culprit.

Change the complete fuel pump assembly. Or get a good mechanic to pull out the fuel pressure regulator and blow test it.

In my town, you can buy a fuel pressure regulator separately from all those butchered tokunbo fuel pump assembly. This can save you from buying a complete fuel pump assembly.

I was told it reduces fuel consumption.
