Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (LP Lagos Governorship Candidate) Engagement Thread by Seun(mod):
Good day everyone.

Today marks a change in civic engagement for the better of us all. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party Lagos state gubernatorial candidate, will be engaging with us directly through nairaland.

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, popularly known as GRV, is a Nigerian architect, activist and politician. A Lagos indigene, his family is deeply intertwined with the history of Lagos and Nigeria.

He believes it is a privilege to serve and that is why he is here, to directly engage with the electorate of Nigeria. He will discuss his plans and vision for Lagos and more importantly answer questions in regards to governance and Lagos directly.

Thank you.
If you have any questions for GRV, please ask away. He will respond to the most interesting questions. If you think someone else's question is interesting and worth responding to, please like and share it for visibility. Questions with many likes & shares are more likely to be answered.

We are willing to do this for free with any candidate of any political party who is interested in engaging with Nairalanders.

Thank you Seun for the platform and thank you Gbadebo for the opportunity to interact with you.

Can you tell me why you believe you are the best man for the job? I am also very concerned about the insecurity in Lagos state occasioned by “Agberos” who lurk on the roads at night hoping for prey. What will you do about them.
Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (LP Lagos Governorship Candidate) Engagement Thread by AdaojoTheUrchin:
GRV will do well in Lagos but if the hawks and the agberoes deny him his victory in Lagos, a ministerial appointment surely awaits. Thank God he is a very young man.
Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (LP Lagos Governorship Candidate) Engagement Thread by Seun(mod):
My question:
Considering the strong influence of the APC in Lagos, how do you intend to defeat the sitting APC governor who has recently completed or hastily commissioned many highly visible projects?

1. In October, 2020 some youths protesting against the injustice and police brutality were killed. If elected as the Governor of Lagos state, how do you intend to get justice for those murdered during the EndSars protest

2. what's you view about the government, social media and freedom of speech.
Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (LP Lagos Governorship Candidate) Engagement Thread by NigerianAngelo(m):
1. Do you have a Campaign Team already?
If not, please organise one immediately with 1000+ members involved. Get everyone on board.

2. Hope you know the Constitution?
It is always good to study fully for a role before taking it. It is a vocation, from God.
There are 320 Articles; 7 Schedules in the Constitution. You could quickly study even by scan - but everything.

3. Hope you are Committed to Autonomous LGs:
Remember you once campaigned for LG Office yourself. You were in France. You know autonomous LGs help.

4. Have you fully studied Lagos State Past Government Data?
Projects completed by Ambode, Sanwo-Olu etc. Please have knowledge of them and how to maintain completed ones (appoint qualified hands for each - it will already by 87% well).

5. Have you already spotted three or four hands you want to be in Government with?
Please do. It is important to do so even before vying for office. It will help guide you throughout the process.

6. Do you Plan increasing Teachers and Lecturers Salaries For Your State?
You should do. By God's efficacious grace, we will in my side at first opportunity.
Teachers should pocket at least N180K/mo and Lecturers N380K/mo, at current exchange rates.

God's infallible assistance and providence.

Our Lady, St. Joseph, St. Patrick, pray for you.

This is massive,it is the kind of thing we need in the politics section.

My question to GRV is how does labour intend to curtail the excesses of political thugs during election in Lagos State.

Lagos needs an actual Lagosian as governor for proper and even development of the state instead of outsiders who stifle growth even in the midst of expanded revenue generation

That the Axe 🪓 is made of wood doesnt not make it one of the trees in the forest.

We the masses are the trees, Sanwolu and his under peeforman is just like that underwhelming Okowa in my home state of Delta.

Any real lagosian will perform better than the man from Iragbiji and his minions in Alausa

1. What are your views regarding the Ìyál'ọ́jà title, and will you terminate this stealing conduit if Labour prevails at the polls in March?.
2. Given the enormity of APC pockets, how do you intend to fundraise for your campaign?.

Thank you.

This is by far the biggest problem of Lagos State. In fact, it's a time-bomb waiting to explode. Sir, what how do you intend to tackle this?

Also, does Labour Party have enough people to secure her votes in all the polling booths in Lagos? Even with the BVAS and IRev technology, I strongly believe that no serious political party should go into this election without having reliable party agents, else PDP and APC will share their votes.

Mr. Seun, I think this thread should be on the front page.
