In Islam our belief is that Adam and Eve were the first human couple so they must have spoken to each other and certainly it's the same language. There are three heavens.

The first is the sky above us where you can see the clouds. That is the first heaven. And it was this heaven they were referring to.

The second heaven is not visible to the physical eyes. It is where wicked spirits dwell.

This is what God told Adam and Eve to do with their descendants:

So God wants humans to live in all the earth but this was their plan:
