Till today, Yoruba people are still confused about the origin of their ancestry. One day they are tracing their roots to Sudan, next day it's Togo, before you digest that information they'll switch to Ghana.

That explains why Tinubu is confused about his origin.

Where is your own Ancestry Origin ?

And please don’t say Isreal

First of all ,i pay obeisance to the prince . Well said prince , but i'd wish to add that we are all omo kaaro ojiire as Oduduwa the progenitor of yoruba kings met our ancestors in ile ife .And starting from the fourth lagos monarch , ologun kutere ,we can fully debunk all the benin owns lagos gibberish because the aforementioned kutere , who fathered many children , among them many heirs , was a product of a union between Erelu , a benin princess( king Akinsemotin's sister ) and Alagba , an ifa priest from present day osun state . It is this warrior king from a yoruba loins that gave birth to many sons whose lineages are eligible to the Eleko stool .Thank you .

The First Oba Of Lagos was the Asipa Of Isheri And he was an Awori Man

His Son Ado had a Benin Princess Mother but was also Awori himself nevertheless

It is already obvious you are not from the SW

Ketu is not Awori it is a separate Yoruba Clan
There are Egbado in the Badagry Area too
On top of all that there are plenty of Awori in the Badagry Area

And all the Ethnic groups of Ogun state have ancient Territories in Lagos state

Remember that over 90% of Lagos state was carved out of todays Ogun state

We know each and every Yoruba Clan and where they reside

By the Way the Owu (Obasanjo’s Clan)
Yoruba also have at least 2 Ancient Settlements in the Badagry Area

Did you ask for my sources

Just go to Badagry and ask the Indigenes

Yes

By the way the Awori were in the Badagry Area before the Egun

The Egun Settled in Badagry as War refugees when the King Of Dahomey attacked Ouidah

In Benin Republic their Original homeland in the 17th century

By the way Ouidah is from a Yoruba Word Wida Which was the Yoruba name of a bird that was abundant in the Area

They Settled in Badagry on Land that was given to them by the Alapa of Apa a Yoruba King

In Badagry LG Who wears a beaded Ife Crown like the Oba Of Badagry

The Egun , Of Nigeria and Benin Republic the Ewe Of Togo And Ghana and the Ga of Ghana in Accra Area

are Basically the same People they are all of Yoruba Ancestry but adopted the Akan Language

Of their Fon And Ashanti neighbours

The Alaafin Of Oyo was the Former Overlord Of them all

The evidence that Egun are of Yoruba Ancestry has already been given to you by Chief Wawu of Badagry if you are not Satisfied Goodbye

it is well documented that the high chief Wawu's descendants were immigrants of Yoruba origin to present day Badagry region. So if you are relying on his accou t for the whole region, you are not being fair to history. No disrespect, but his royal highness Wawu's account is about yoruba descendants of egun origin and not the whole egun (Ogu) tribe. Thanks

You sound like you don't have a Clue about Egun History

They Migrated from Ile Ife

They are the descendants of the Olupopo the Son of Oduduwa

They were later Joined by descendants of the Alaketu who was also another Son of Oduduwa

Finally let me break this to you Gently
All the Egun originated from Ile Ife

Another way to describe the Egun very simply is to describe them as Akan Speakers of Yoruba Ancestry

its obvious you have coined your own history of Ogu people. Even Ooni can't claim this

What a pity

I suggest you go to the Oba of Badagry's Palace and confirm from him that his Crown is an Ife Beaded Crown which only Monarchs descended from Oduduwa wear

That Crown on the Oba Badagry head is an Ife Beaded Crown it is the Ooni of Ife's Property that was gifted only to the Ife Princes

Only Obas descended from Oduduwa wear it
and Only the Ooni of Ife gives them out and authorise their use by a monarch
and it has been so for the last 1000 years

Once any Yoruba Person see's that Crown on any Monarch's head, the full story of his lineage from Oduduwa's Ife Princes has been told

he's called Akran (Aholu menu toyi) of Badagry, not "Oba", infact it's you that needs the history lessons.
Akran will never refer to himself as Oba

Akran will never refer to himself as Oba

If Oba Akran were not an Oba he wouldn't
wear an Ife Beaded Crown

Oba Akran is definitely an Oba

This is the entrance to his Palace with his Oba title

Not that alone but he also attends the Oba's meetings at Ile Ife

Oba of Badagry is not a minor king, he is a very Strategic king of huge Historical importance

He was one of Yorubalands major Bulwarks and Spearheads against the king of Dahomey
