I'm only going to tell you that you have my vote. Don't be deterred by naysayers who feel they're God and can decide who can win and cannot win. Do your part and campaign rigourously. I'm in Lagos and I see the little you've been trying to do. You can do better.

Good luck. We are sticking to the the team that is transforming Lagos.

There is a reason why all the IPOB zombidients and their leader wants to move to Lagos.

My question is how come no one is moving or dreaming of moving to Anambra?

Extort you for coming to another region of your country? Like where ? Like Lagos or the SW?
If that's the case, how come we have so many people coming to Lagos and the SW in their thousands on daily basis. My small town in Lagos is slowly being filled up with people from the SE. If we are so bad, how come they feel so comfortable settling and doing business in my town?
Look at the different parts of Nigeria and it's very easy to see which area is more accommodating of others.
It's simple logic, no one moves to area where they are extorted, confronted or made to feel unwelcome. You don't need a genius to tell you that. Just look at direction to which people are migrating towards.
How many people do you know that are contemplating moving to the SE from the SW? Almost none or very very few.

It shows level tolerance, development, acceptance and chance of survival. For all humans, it's all about survival.
I know you are just trying to shy away from reality
You can't claim not to know about the daily extortion going on in the streets of Lagos
Where jobless people wake up, buy a marker, look for available junction and starts collecting money from bikes and keke
I bought a land 2016 close to where i live and struggled to build on it to roofing and one day someone wake's up and decides to sell part of my land because he is son of the region where i settled in my own country.is that the acceptance and tolerance you mean?
Aside from from industrial advantages that Lagos has due to it once been capital of Nigeria i don't think i would be here
Some of us are just enduring your nonsense and believing Nigeria will outgrow your recklessness someday

What would you do differently if you were given the opportunity to serve?

Would you complete the established projects in the state?

Dear GRV, What did you intend to do differently from what APC led State Government has done since 1999. Lagos generated the highest IGR but the cost of living and difficulty in doing business had been very high even before APC controlled Federal Government came on board. How do you intend to reduce incessant and unnecessary high taxation?

1. In October, 2020 some youths protesting against the injustice and police brutality were killed. If elected as the Governor of Lagos state, how do you intend to get justice for those murdered during the EndSars protest

2. what's you view about the government, social media and freedom of speech.

1. Thank you for all these questions, and your patience, I will engage and answer as many of these questions as possible.
the end sars protest was a golden moment and opportunity from this failing government to embrace the youth and partner towards a better Nigeria

I like many of you on here even took part and was completely horrified by the use of army and force to murder peaceful protestors
I will start by recognising what happened, meet with. the families of the bereaved and plot a way forward such peaceful protestors aren't murdered. The true justice would be working closely with the federal government on police reform, with the. establishment of hotlines and agencies designed to handle civilian complaints, retraining and reorientation of security forces and as well as developing state and community police that respect, end sars was born out. of seeking accountability and change, on all levels governance can improve. and that is why I GRV hope to become your governor and serve lagosians to the best of my ability.

2. Freedom of speech is the bedrock of democracy, I am strong. believer of democracy and believe it's the best form of governance, social media is critical to expression and freedom, and is a strong check to keep governments accountable. I. believe social media is great. for democracies and dialogue, obviously hate speech and misinformation has to be tackled and regulated but that should be more from the companies themselves as. well as independent 3rd parties.

A lot of people are moving to Lagos because she was a former federal capital built with federal money. Lagos is home to airports, seaports and lots of industries built over the decades, long before 1999 when senator Bola Tinubu became its governor. As such she is the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria and attracts lots of people.
The reason a lot of people are not flocking to Anambra is the same reason people are not flocking to Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Kwara states.
If Abuja were to become a state today, it would not be true to claim that a certain future governor developed it.
Thank you.

Seun:
My question:
Considering the strong influence of the APC in Lagos, how do you intend to defeat the sitting APC governor who has recently completed or hastily commissioned many highly visible projects?
Power belongs to the people, and the people want better governance, apc has thoroughly disappointed Nigerians and lagosians, Lagos is ranked as one of the worst cities to live in, and that NEEDS to change , yes commissioning these projects quickly before election is a smart strategy but nigerians know what we have gone through over the last few years. The train commissioning in a vacuum sounds great but on closer inspection, many concerning issues arise from it. The project still can't actually be used by lagosians, has taken over a decade to complete costing 100s of millions of dollars with nothing to show yet. In that time span I can point to comparable projects that have 3x. the distance covered costing less than a third to what was allocated to the project. Projects in lagos are constantly grossly overinflated.
To win I am going to speak DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE , lagosians and nigerians are yearning for change and better governance, it's why the Labour party and peter obi has the nation excited, lagos and nigeria can function better, and we the labour party are here to do that.

What are your plans for the traffic situation? I know you are an engineer, how can you fix it?

Thank you I schooled in MIT in regards to architecture and a focus on estate. development , I worked on projects in america and even china. The traffic situation in Lagos can be remedied by both short and long term solutions. first we have to decongest business centers and encourage the opening of other business clusters in under-utilised areas, to direct traffic to other areas and relieve pressure from congested areas, improve contract award of road building and repairs so that they can be held accountable when the road washes away quickly. Drainage, lagos is in dire need of good draining and all across the state we need to revamp the drainage system to prevent road damage as well flooding.
Creation of a true intermodal transport network harnessing water, rail, tram and stronger and more robust public transport. The funding for such exists, what it takes is having a government who is committed to making it happen, that is what I and the labour party want to bring to lagos, a truly working lagos for all classes of people, and for all lagosians, not just those on the island.

I don't support anyone extorting anyone. I'm from Lagos and I have also experienced similar issues in the past. It's not just people from afar.
Lagos has always been like this even before Tinubu got into politics, anyone who told you otherwise is lying.
Google Adebayo Success and read about him during Shagari and NPN politics. I'm old enough to remember him very well.
Also, are you telling me that you don't have agbero in the SE? Because I know for a fact that you do have lots of agbero but you seem only concerned about Lagos agberos.
Buying land in Africa and Nigeria in particular has always been issue not just in the SW but also in the SE. This is due to poor record keeping and the fact that we pass properties from generation to generation without good record keeping.
I recently bought a land in my own town in Lagos State, after paying, some more families came out to lay claim to the land. This is in my own small town, not Lagos city with agebros. These are families that know my family from way back.
I had to settle them again just to get them off my back.

Lagos is like NY city, wild, crazy and fast pace. In NY city, some shop owners till today still have to pay some people to be able to own or sell in their shops. It's illegal but still happens. Go to any major city around the world and I bet that you will find similar stories in some form or another. Chinese cities, Japanese and other Asians have similar situations.
Pls google paying thugs in Tokyo and read about "years-long practice: paying “protection” money to yakuza gangsters".
This is in Tokyo, probably the safest city in the whole world.

Good evening @GRV-LAGOS.
Thanks for honoring the invitation to Nairaland forum.

1. Given that Lagos is the golden goose of the APC; Are you open to merger talks with PDP and others to unseat the ruling party.

2. Are you open to implementing Independent Power Plant exclusively for lagos to tackle current energy challenges.

3. Under your leadership will you guarantee that development strides of your government will be felt in SATELLITE TOWN amongst others abandoned by the APC government

4. Lagos is a mini Nigeria having been the Federal capital before. Will your government restore harmony amongst all Lagosians' as it were before 1999.

I wish you the very best and glad you are running to be governor of Lagos State.
Thanks Seun for this platform.
