Brendaniel: China is different from Nigeria and India. In China, the lives of citizens are centrally controlled and managed by the CCP. The CCP replaces the Country's leader with another CCP faithful who will continue the agenda of the CCP for China. The CCP is an atheist party. All its members take the status of atheists. The Government is atheist and suppress religion in the state to bring unity and produce forward thinking people even in rural areas. For instance they're planning to rewrite the Bible. They've kept Uighur Muslims in concentration camps for decades- feed them pork and make them blaspheme. Can you keep Muslims in camps in Nigeria or India to make them have sense? What the Chinese Government says stands. The regulate everything from how much citizens can access international media to the number of children a citizen can have. China is a one-party undemocratic communist republic where a supreme leader makes decisions without being questioned. It was why Mao Zedong was able to starve tens of millions to death with his policies to register the plans of the CCP. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The last I heard from or about the 9ja superstar is that she was involved in selling prime real estate in the Southern California - Los Angeles area. I don't know how successful she's been at it. I wonder how her family and in-laws are fairing back home. |

Freshtruth: Hehe, how is Dangote, the major industrialist we have in Nigeria your major problem? Dangote is a manufacturer, a producer, not an importer! If anything, he should be celebrated. Other wealthy Nigerians also need to emulate him by establishing industries in order to create more jobs. 1 Like |

N3TRAL: Oga, you are deviating from your self serving point, this is not about religion. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy are very religious countries and they are not doing bad, but that is not even the point here. You claim Nigerians should work and help themselves the way Indians are doing all over the world and stop relying on the government to help them or change their situation. I am here to tell you that it is good in itself but it is a self serving narrative if we do not hold our goverment accountable and ensure that they do the right thing and also blame them when we are supposed to, India used to be extremely corrupt, thought still corrupt to a certain level, but they are beginning to change that, that contributed a lot to their poverty level, China was also corrupt at some point but they had to take draconian laws against corruption and look at where they are compared to India that didn't, now compare India and Nigeria, India is now ahead of Nigeria because corruption has been decreasing in India and increasing in Nigeria. The question is do we sit down and just say let us leave the government and be working for ourselves out of poverty and leave the government to keep stealing and destroying the environment were we work. The story of the doctor or so that retired from America and came back to farm in Ogun state was killed in his farm by bandits, would you blame him or the government for coming to create jobs and provide food in his own country. When someone like Omotola is complaining about bad governance, it is not about her or what she wil benefit, she is living fine, what about others, the reason why the country is where it is today is because of this same self serving mindset peope use to do things in Nigeria, once someone can get himself and family out of poverty, he cares about no one, same mindset they take into governance and public offices, it is now so normal that the government now treats the people anyhow and they know that nobody within any capacity will challenge them. That is why I called it a self serving narrative because in the long run whatever happens to your neighbor who is unsafe might also affect you who think you are safe because you did not make any effort to protect him when you had the capacity to. This is not about helping everybody, but we must try to ensure our government live up to their responsibilities for everyone, rich or poor... Both the rich and poor are suffering for insecurity and bad roads in the country so why should someone think it is all about making money and been successful without holding the government accountable.... 1 Like |

This one is different celebrity, she says the truth. Otherwise, become a Nigerian celebrity, or be appointed by Nigeria government to any office abroad or in any international organization, see that Nigerian talk about Nigeria to the world as if Nigeria is a bed of roses. Watching the Nigerian lady presenter on Al Jazeera today talk with two other ladies about Africa's capacity to produce vaccine, and watching the two Nigerians on the show mouthing the capacity of Nigeria, a stranger would not know that Nigeria is not even capable of refining crude oil, can't generate enough electricity for its needs, and harbours the largest number of poor people on earth. 1 Like |

viodemus: They import passenger trains in areas of Nigeria they found favour with furnished with rail lines, but ignore goods trains. The same way they build roads but ignore supply of treated pipe borne water. Issue is the value systems and living standards in Arewa north of Nigeria that largely determines the direction of Nigeria through its undue political overrepresentation in all the departments of Nigeria's government, irrespective of where the president comes from. |
