I still don't know why FG hasn't placed sanctions on Multichoice or DSTV or whatever should they fail to adopt "pay-as-you-go" like they do in SA instead of the extortion they are subjecting Nigerians to.. Just the thought of being extorted is why I refuse to use their service, not that I can't afford it or pay whatever subscription fee. This is the rubbish that they borrowed money for. They built tracks and used some old tracks, but it did not occur to them to build a correct track, then also build electric guard to protect the tracks. Let's not even talk about the kinds of trains they bought.

Everytime you give contract in Nigeria, people eat the money and present a project that is below minimum. Just look at how the citizens of a great country suffers every single day. It is not cool at all.

A few months after commissioning, the rain washed off the colour and I saw the name of the Chinese company who operated it before abandoning those couches. I saw it at Ikeja along bus stop when it stopped to discharge passengers. Nigerian government went and picked it up and refurbished it, then brought it in and called it new. God will judge all those who had driven this country to the state if comatose she's in tiday.

Also a train derailment is not nothing. It is a very dangerous event.

Nobody is talking nonsense. The reality is that the developmental efforts is totally divorced from the people. The Nigerian people have no stake in Nigeria.

You go to China to borrow money to build Train. Chinese workers make up more than 60%. Salaries of one Chinese engineer can pay more than 20 Nigerians.

There's little or no local input. You have an army of uneducated and unemployed youths. And you're building infrastructure that many more than half of your population can't afford to board. What do you expect?

Our institutions can't handle common railway construction in this age of Artificial intelligence. We have no business building railway way if our institutions can't handle it. That money should be going into upgrading our tertiary institutions to be able to handle our infrastructural development. But we have continued to put the cart ahead of the horse.

All our politicians know is to award dubious contract just to get kick backs. We're not yet serious as a nation.

It's because Nigerians go and tamper with the tracks looking for iron to melt. The Nigerian people are the problem. There is nothing we don't steal or vandalise. Bridge railings, sign posts, street name signs, rail tracks. The government is really the reflection of the people.

We always point out the speck in our leaders eyes, but ignore the log in ours. If not, ritual killing, kidnapping, hook up won't have taken the dimension it has today, despite the poverty in the land.

Same with students in university hostel. The way we vandalise the place is unimaginable, yet we want our universities to be like Cambridge.
