I've already announced to my members that I would call down fire on anyone who brings his tithes and offerings in old naira notes.

We're going cashless for now, POS and transfer are acceptable don't tempt God. By Sunday, I'll be at the gate of my church with my Bell, operation show your offering and tithes before you enter the church.

This I have seen.
You mean come Sunday you will stand at the entrance of your business centre and demand for the usual.

This is the best policy by CBN and Buhari.
You must be a selfish person, go to the marketplaces and see things by yourself. The politicians you think will be affected may have these new notes in abundance presently.

Mind you, I'm in full support of cashless policy but the deadline is not feasible unless the is preparing for anarchy.

you are right
But Nigeria is not ripe for that yet. They are still millions of Nigerian illiterates. How will they cope in that policy.
Anyone can cope with anything. I'm still buying bread N1000 and fuel N350 with the same salary I always got when bread was N300 and fuel was N160.
When whatsapp came out, they didnt ask how people will cope with statuses cos many people still used java mobile phones

Femi Gbajamila is merely fronting for his mentor, Bola Tinubu, to use the billions of Naira stolen from the Federal Inland Revenue Service through Tinubu's boy, Fowler, who bossed FIRS for years, to buy the presidential election.

Where in the world do you phase out old currency in just one month...

These people think Nigeria revolves round abuja... How about remote towns, villages and reverine communities where the isn't a bank.

I don't understand this cbn Governor
Look at you. Keep listening to those wicked people brainwashing you, feeding fat on your ignorance and making you poorer. CBN Gave N100 days not one month. This is how they deceive agbado urchins.

Obviously the banks will do all within their power to frustrate the CBN Governor, next month is election, the bank managers are already hoarding the new notes for the politicians.

Buhari is sadist. He becomes happy when he see people shedding Tears and Blood.
Why currency change in the first place. Now Nigerians are suffering, and that's what gives him pleasure.
But it will surely come to an end.

I was in first Bank this afternoon to withdraw and they still gave me old notes.

Yet, same first Bank is saying they will be available on weekends to collect old notes.

The question is, what will I use as legal tender if I deposit all the notes in my possession?

Its a deliberate act, they know what they are doing, i pray CBN don't extend the deadline.

CBN has released the new notes. But bank managers and CEOs are hoarding the new notes for the desperate and greedy Politicians.

Nothing like extension. Do transfer If money no de your hand that's the point of the whole cashless policy

I still wonder why many people are complaining when they can easily do transfer at will.

So if they use their phone or ATM for transactions they will die? Nigerians are just backward beings. Abeg, Emefiele must not move an inch from the deadline. People are just stubborn and like to drag others down. I even prefer the cashless policy. Money can be easily traced. There'll always be trails that you can't scrub away

I have N30k old notes and haven't been able to change them.

So...Are you normal I ask yet again?

Why haven't you been able to change them?? LOL.

You guys are funny. Even if CBN gives you 1,000 days to fix yourself up, your argument won't change. A year after they told Nigerians to get their BVN done, we saw the volume of complaints.

I'm not making excuses for Emefiele. I've always known him for incompetence but I would rather allow him carry on with that incompetence till the end of Bubu's tenure.

When the criminal was printing notes without mercy and sharing to his colleagues in the north, where were you and your useless drug lord?? The ma.d guy even encouraged Emefiele to print more Naira during COVID-19 and wasted no time in shutting down Nigerians who complain about forex. In his words "Nigerians don't spend dollars..."

It's less than 30 days to the general election and the ma.d man suddenly realised the need to love the masses.

The pain and suffer must go round. If you think the politicians will give a fvk about your scarcity by March 15th, immediately after the gubernatorial elections, then you're on a long thing.

No apologies whatsoever about my position on this matter.

Emefiele is a total catastrophe.

I don't know why Buhari is not listening to those who are calling his attention to his excesses.

They're hoarding fuel, we're also battling with Nairaland paucity. angry

It Normally takes gradual process and few years to phase out old notes. This will enable the new notes to circulate, while the old notes fizzles out. It's currently being done in the UK. But the CBN governor, Buhari and his cabals are making this a political fight within their ranks. Unfortunately it's the masses that are suffering for it!
